I worked at Remedy Health Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - You’ll meet some interesting people
    - You’ll learn what NOT to do in a workplace environment

There isn’t much I can say was worthwhile at this job.

    Cons

The management has no idea what the lower level employees are doing and everyone is miserable and looking to leave as soon as they can. Should you be looking to work here, RUN.

The staff are exclusionary and clique-obsessed but as a really awful bonus, you’re talked about more by your colleagues when you don’t work nights, weekends or on vacation.

The company seems financially mismanaged and on shakey ground. It wouldn’t surprise me to see it go under in the next year or so with the employees jumping ship left and right.

If you want to be underpaid, overworked and miserable, Remedy Health Media is for you.

    Advice to Management

No. I’d be surprised if they take any of this information into consideration.

I worked at Remedy Health Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work/Life balance, clueless management (both positive and negative), due to incessant fixation with revenue misses, good drama watching everyone run around like chickens with heads cut off.

    Cons

As one reviewer has mentioned, one of the sketchy sales lead in the business. And yes, leadership is clueless...they are desperate to be sold and are buying time. If you're interviewing just walk around a bit and look at faces/expressions as there's no energy, enthusiasm and excitement. Yes, the media delivery, technology and client services are a joke as it's a perpetual over-promise and under-deliver. Good luck.

    Advice to Management

In all honesty, what can you say to mgmt? They can't do anything else other than pray to get bought...not even to cash out but to save them from the slow miserable death.

    -Not very focused on training
    -Too many VPs
-Catty and cliquey high school like politics
-HR is only focused on protecting the company and upper level managers

I have been working at Remedy Health Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good hours and depending upon your group you can get flexible work from home time.

    Cons

    - Huge financial issues worry employees that we could be out of business any day.
    - No true HR to report issues to.
    - No communication to the employees.
    - Managers/Execs are never in the office. Only the junior people are expected to come in.
    - Editorial has no mission and content is terrible except on The Body and The Body Pro
    - Pay is lower than the competition. Raises are rare and tiny. No bonuses.
    - There is no room for growth.
    - Board members, especially one who is in the office daily, lead the company down terrible paths (print). He insisted upon hiring his friend/fellow investor to "work" for the company aka delegate terrible ideas that lost LOTS of money, while his friend raked in a considerable paycheck and others went without raises and bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Treat employees with respect and equality.
    - Communicate with your staff.
    - Tell them about additional vacation time and PTO in advance so they can plan, not a week before. It's not a perk if you can't use it.
    - Hire a professional HR person who employees can handle issues professionally.
    - Hold managers accountable to actually come in and work.
    - Get the financials in order. How this even got so bad under your watch is wild and concerning.
    - Establish culture with execs and values that you intend to uphold yourself.
