I have been working at Renew Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No pros. Except you like a lot of bad culture

    Cons

Bad management, regular change in company organization, regular round of layoffs, managers that don’t have knowledge, discrimination, management lies everyday, run while you can

    Advice to Management

Bring Cisco back,. You already lost all the good talent, its going downhill. Hope you can sell it asap.

I worked at Renew Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    A few great folks left

    Cons

    Executive Management needs an overhaul.

    Advice to Management

Shut it down. he current CEO (NOT CISCO) is so out of touch with employees. He has the old school mentality. You will not keep good talent with the old way, Sir. Get a clue and treat your work force like gold. Walk around the office and check in on folks. Ask how they are doing and how their families are. Sad to say, this company won't last very long. IT was good while it lasted.

    Pros

Some people are committed to the environmental mission. Many smart people work there, but that doesn't include C-level.

    Cons

Execs have no clue what is going on, all decisions are completely reactive to competition, but are executed much more poorly. Environmental mission was thrown out of the door a long time ago, this is a strictly finance-focused company, DO NOT work here if you are looking to do sustainability work or a positive impact on the environment. Sales team are cutthroat and have little to no morals, they'll make a deal with any shady contractor to get their commission.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

I worked at Renew Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Ambition
    Product
    Work/Life Balance
    Benefits are market level

    Cons

The CEO is out of touch with staff and sits in his office all day long with impunity. Since head of HR left in late 2018, communication is lifeless and training strategy is non-existent.

    Advice to Management

    1. Hire back head of HR and let him get team motivated
    2. Give the CEO a personality so that there is some positivity to his stature
    3. Shutter California operations and throw chips in with Florida focus

I have been working at Renew Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of the front line employees are nice.

    Cons

    No hope for career advancement.

    Regular rounds of layoffs.
Most people are gone, and took the knowledge of our systems with them.
Moving towards a tech mashup of 3rd party tools and integrations supported by 3rd party contractors.

This is mostly a sinking ship.

    Pros

Numerous extracurricular activities with outstanding benefits

    Cons

Wasteful spending all over!!!!! HR is unprofessional - absolutely NOTHING is confidential with them. Appalled young unmanaged/untraining individuals are the face of this company. The excessive spending will close the doors by end of 2019

I worked at Renew Financial full-time

    Pros

Benefits are okay and people below VP level are great, but powerless against C-level incompetence.

    Cons

Incompetence at senior tech leadership combined with arrogance is a brutal force that killed their IT.
There is no vision for the product other than chasing features that competition implemented.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of all C-level leadership on tech side.

    Pros

The best reason to work was the days off that were given to you.

    Cons

Management Team is a joke. None of the Mangers except for Tonya Montanez can be trusted.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to grow up. Its a shame that they ran off qualified people.
