    Pros

    Decent health insurance. Awesome co-workers

    Cons

    Leadership says they take pride in caring for their employees, but really they spend an excessive amount of time in requiring safety training (in the name of employee care) while the salaries are embarrassing unless you are upper management. Should show more concern for employees and not just profit numbers. Overload good workers to the point of hating their job. I have been with the company for 21 years and didn't get even a word of recognition on my 20th anniversary. Nobody noticed. I have heard other employees state the same.

    Structural Issues Hold It Back - Could Be Good

    Hybrid/remote work available (unless there’s an emergency, and emergencies are frequent), pay is good for industry (unless it’s a year where the company suspends commission and bonuses)

    Cons

    Company adopts new systems every 4-6 months which leaves frontline employees chronically frustrated. Manager quality varies. The job of “Leadership” seems to be to make positive reports to C-level, not solve actual structural problems with the “company” (actually numerous acquisition companies that retain their own subcultures and informal systems). Relevant employee concerns are often negated by managers who are looking to maintain a clean sheet. There are no healthy functioning internal channels to solve payroll, PTO, or day to day personnel matters. Response quality varies, if one gets a response. You can spend years at the company and not know what person/department can help you solve a basic issue. And the hours can be long (6am to 6pm in peak season, some weekends).

    Pros

    The technicians and service people were amazing and made my job easier in a sense. Working from home and scheduling my own appointments to avoid rush hours was a blessing.

    Cons

    Everything is based on the share holders. More, More, More! They don't take into consideration 1 time big sales, they think it can be duplicated and more every year. They add more sales people to a territory and then ask you to sell more even though your "piece of pie" is now that much smaller.

    under appreciated in role, under compensated, expected to take on roles of a lead without the extra pay, less than 2% merit increases, no cost of living raises

    When I’m dead my family will get some money

    A lot. First off active pest control the company im currently at got bought out buy rentokil along with others. Now I have been in the industry for 5 years now and hourly pay is usually what smaller companies do to their employees My biggest issue along with every tech I talk to that works for this company is the pay cut. We go through training for chemicals safety bug anatomy etc on top of putting our lives at risk everyday and having to get certified for two different licenses! I mean we get rid of vermin disease and anything pest related (dangerous). So the fact that we all get transferred to this company that has enough money to buy big companies for billions of dollars but can’t give every tech at least CLOSE to what they were making. Im not sure if it’s a corporate strategy to get everyone to quit so y’all can hire brand new people and brainwash them that our work we do is worth $15 an hour. 20 years at this company my top out will be $24 with a 800 incentive that gets taxed. Y’all’s strategy is working all those companies that got bought out I wonder what turn over rate is 🧐

    Pros

    Depending on your department you MIGHT have a manager who cares about you more than you being just a number to him/her. There are only a select few who do. Those types of managers provide flexibility, and work life balance, and actually listen to your concerns and complaints and want to help where they can. I am thankfully blessed with one of those managers.

    Cons

    -Benefits get worse every year. -Continue to buy more companies when they can't even ensure proper standard operating procedures for the ones they already have. -No matter how many times you complain to your manager about serious concerns that effect your team's productivity, their hands are tied due to Senior management. As they're only concerned about growing and not fixing current problems. -Pay raises are a joke, the salaries compared to other companies for the same positions are drastically lower. Especially considering everyone does way beyond the job description they're hired to do. (Which I understand is okay to an extent but not when it is expected as your daily performance when it's clearly another departments responsibility). - You are beyond over worked, at all times. They never want to staff properly, but want to continue growing for that revenue and expect their already over worked staff to continue to drown and be miserable. - With turn over so high, you never actually catch up because your constantly needing to retrain and rebuild until the next person finally gets fed up and leaves, it's a vicious cycle that is exhausting.
