I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quick to gain senority in some of the bases
Schedule generated monthly almost 2 weeks in advance, makes it easy to plan around it
Good benefits: medical/dental, flight benefits and discounts with partners (hotels, rental cars, etc)
    Friendly co-workers!
Travel to new places every work day, get paid to do it! :)

    Cons

Sometimes long days and you only get paid when the aircraft door closes, but that's an industry standard
Occasionally deal with difficult people, but you knew that you would coming in, right? :)
Some cities hotels aren't the best, but again, all regional airlines have this issue from time to time
Be careful when deadheading on other airlines aircraft, it is difficult to get paid properly if you are delayed for any reason.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring and focus on the future, as it appears you are doing but please try to bring up the base pay, even a little will go a long way to retain people instead of them starting here then moving on to mainline the moment they get an opportunity.

I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free flights, but even this isn't a pro as you fly standby and have low priority codes. Oh and you only good 2 weeks of vacation a year that you have to use so plan wisely.

    Cons

Worst communication ever seen in my 20 years of corporate experience, terrible pay, employees are treated like dirt. No job security, 2 weeks of pto, management and leadership don't work together at all so you never know what is going on until literally last second. No structure, terrible training...the list goes on and on.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and act like you actually give a hoot about them for once.

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers mainly crews members

    Cons

Bankruptcy is scary and causes you to feel unsure of a future or retirement with them

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Good starter airline. Travel benefits were good. I liked my coworkers. They have cleaners for their planes. I don't have any thing else nice to say

    Cons

Over worked and under paid. Management sucks and is chaotic and isn't much support for their employees. Every employee hates it

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like they matter and maybe there won't be such huge turn over numbers. Hire qualified base supervisors too...like the kind that show up to work or the kind that don't rob the company

Shift schedule 12 hour days with 4 days off every other week.

    Cons

Management that was out of touch with worker generations.
No option to warrant continued service for MCI.

    Advice to Management

Look into returning maintenance to MCI.

I worked at Republic Airways full-time

    Pros

Always had a lot of work to do.

    Cons

They are in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and downsizing drastically, excluding pilots. There was no room to move up in the Records office. There was one manager position and that was it and it was occupied by a lady who had been there for over 15 years. Very little pay compared to most airline companies.

I worked at Republic Airways full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are fair. If you like flying stand by, travel benefits are a perk. I believe Bryan Bedford tries to make Republic a good company to work for. The not every manager lives by the company's stated values . Therefore the culture suffers.

    Cons

Company grew too fast with no controllers in place. People placed in jobs that they were not qualified for, a lot of money wasted on poor communication from Upper and Mid Management. Managers not taking responsibility for their part. No uniformity between departments. Us verses them mentality.

    Advice to Management

Make managers responsible for their budget, and all contracts and agreement information related to vendor needs to be given to Accounting. Therefore you paying per contract. Too much money was lost because of lack of communication

    Pros

    Cons

There is no work/life balance and the pay does not make up for it

I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company promotes from within, offering lots of opportunities to take on new responsibilities and expand your career in the airline industry.

    Cons

Reserve system could use some work. Hopefully it will change for the better in the next round of contract negotiations.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your employees. They will be more productive and provide better customer service if you do so. It will also reduce turnover and save the company more money in the long run.

    Pros

Flight Benefits with more than one carrier.
Loved the small feel of the regional airline industry.

    Cons

Lower wages due to being a smaller airline.
401k contribution is only I believe to be 3%

    Advice to Management

Make your employees feel wanted and actually talk to them during their reviews about their raises
