I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

4 days on, 3 days off for my position. Overtime is offered and shifts are easily trade-able. Managers are friendly and easily reachable by email. Free flights on standby, decent benefits that include free dental and vision (better than my previous job through an insurance company, interestingly enough.) Hands-on training. Dress code is pretty lax. Current trainers and schedulers are very knowledgeable.

    Cons

Shift times can be odd and a bit of a hard adjustment. My trainer is mostly cool but doesn't know much about customer service and doesn't seem to be willing to take pointers. Environment can change in a snap due to delays and cancellations; this puts many schedulers in a bad mood. Some of the basic equipment - like headsets for example - probably need updating (for training purposes.) Setting up insurance was slightly more complicated than it needed to be but HR was quick to respond.

Overall, this has been a great learning environment and I can see myself staying for the long haul.

    Advice to Management

    None so far.

I worked at Republic Airways (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some nice flight attendants and pilots to work with. Enjoyed the travel.

    Cons

The company and management just do not care about their employees. I went back to my professional job as a registered nurse where I am appreciated by the patients. I am thankful that I have a wonderful job. Republic airlines is just not a nice company to work for. I regret even working for them. My advice is to stay away!

    Advice to Management

Lose the control issue and treat employees like human beings.

    Pros

The best coworkers. The employee team loyalty makes it's a place you want to work. "Who wouldn't want to work next to your best friend."

    Cons

Company could be better at growing business while balancing employee inclusion.

I worked at Republic Airways full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get to fly a ERJ 170/175.

    Cons

Pilot shortage. Will not give you the hours you bid. You end up working more hours then you want. Republic reassigns all the time and you work longer days than you anticipated. Average day is 10-12 with long sits in airport.

    Advice to Management

Many of the pilots at your company are unhappy, over worked and burned out. Crew Scheduling needs to stop reassigning so much. Very poor Work/Life balance.

I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great leadership, great benefits. Team work is definitely in place. They travel to many destinations. Flight benefits are amazing. I look forward to to work everyday. This is a great place to be a Flight Attendant

    Cons

Every work place has its cons. Being on reserve is part of the business, delays happen. Cranky Customers is part of any business so I just make the best of it and enjoy what I do in spite of another persons bad mood.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work
