    No cons... the company takes care of it's people and the best people appreciate being recognized and compensated for their efforts.

    Find the best talent elsewhere and bring them in; this is a company where the best people should work...

    Growing pains, it is a new call center so they are still growing and working some of the bugs out.

    Look at having other medicals options for insurance.

    Pros

    I enjoy the opportunities that are available for advancement and how friendly everyone seems. The systems are also very easy to navigate.

    Cons

    Benefits have not been discussed and it's the first day of the 2nd week. I would love to know upfront what is available for health/dental/vision coverages along with 401K/Tuition Reimbursement/ESOP, etc.
    When I had questions about the attendance policy, no one could clearly answer them.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to everyone in training. There is one person in the class who seems to talk a lot and I feel like they kind of take over the class a lot.

    Republic Services is a great place to work. They are very concerned about their employees. They make sure every employee has the tools to do their job, pay very well and ensure their employees are properly trained.

    Pros

    Great work environment, friendly workers, friendly managers, appreciation for the work done. Great training, safety classes, good instructors, the family atmosphere. Professional environment, the supplied uniforms and PPE. THE BOOTS, the hard hat, the rain gear, the safety vest all look awesome. But i love bright green yellow that and black together looks awesome..

    Cons

    Chinese overtime- piece rate pay formula....( this is good and bad depending on how you look at it. Makes for a great incentive not to stay on route for max hours. but its bad, when a route has misses, carry over, or gets behind when someone goes on vacation. Because then you are forced to spend max hours on route catching all the work up. knowing the more you work, the less money you are making doing it...so the 12 hour day does not pay off in the end. Maybe double day rate when its not the drivers fault he is spending 12 hours a day out, but because the route is behind due to his, absents at work for vacation, medical leave, or things outside his control. Plus long hours make for tried drivers, tried drivers are not safe drivers, because physical exhaustion driving is dangerous,

    Advice to Management

    I have only been at the huntsville AL division for 4 weeks now. 1 week driving with trainer after my safety classes. so far they are great, and have seen nothing wrong on their part. Some drivers are not doing post trip break tests, or writing down all issues with trucks. Front load trucks all need to be equipped with new reach poles. The longer i work here, the more i will learn, the more i can see where things could be made easier. I spent several years as a operations manager and driver for another company, under my watch, it was safe, and never got complaints on cans. But it was small not so massive..but i know what i will be looking for as time passes.
