      HR Communications

Thank you for taking the time to highlight this communication issue within our company. Effectively communicating policies and procedures -- especially difficult to administer policies such as the bench -- is an ongoing challenge for a growing company of our size. It would be very helpful to know the city you worked in so that team specifically can address the issue in their next weekly operations meeting (you can reach out to dialogue@resolvit.com with this additional information). Regardless, know that we will be addressing the communication and training on this policy in all cities within the upcoming week. In the first half of the year we spent $42,000 in employee bench salaries. In 2013, the number was $72,000. We typically see the numbers increase in the fourth quarter as projects transition at the end of the year. The annual amount spent on bench fluctuates from year to year depending on the overall economy, our program and project awards, and the engagement level of our employees. We remain committed to this expense and see it as valuable strategy for keeping key employees on our team. Each January, the company performs research and analysis for annual raises related to our 360 performance evaluation and compensation reviews for all employees. In March and April of 2014, we also reviewed all Business Services compensation plans and did an exhaustive study on the standard wages and income for each role in each of the markets we serve. We used publicly available information such as salaries posted on Glassdoor, job postings of competitors, and surveys of placement agencies in this analysis. As a result, our base salaries are in line with our competitors and the overall market. Total compensation (including commissions, overall benefit plans, etc.) for top performers is significantly higher and of better quality than that found elsewhere on the market. Our organization recognizes that training is very important to all of our employees and has a tuition reimbursement program in place to cover any training that our salaried employees wish to pursue. In the past year, we spent over $156,000 on employee training and tuition - a significant and highly unusual amount for a company of our size! We also hold companywide infrastructure training events twice per month, covering topics such as technical tools, policies and procedures, legal and compliance issues, and time management. This year we also sent employees to industry training events such as SourceCon in Denver, NetApp Insight in Las Vegas, Amazon Web Services (Cloud) training in Cincinnati, a CPA certification conference, as well as time management, sales, and PMP training classes. Resolvit and our employees will always be committed to continuous learning and improvement. This passion is what allows us to provide the best overall value of professional services to our customers. - Mark Scofield, Managing Partner

      Pros

Friendly staff, very supportive Care Managers

      Cons

Not as responsive to finding next contract opportunity as I would expect. Too many 11th hour/59th minute moments for getting the next contract.

      Managing Member

Thank you for taking the time to post about your experience here at Resolvit. Your concerns about “not as responsive to finding next contract” and “too many 11th hour moments” are extremely disappointing and hard to hear. Placing our consultants on new projects with Resolvit is something that we work to improve and pay attention to constantly. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn’t go as smoothly as it should. This is an issue not just for management, but something for every team member in the company to help resolve. As you know, we hold biannual face-to-face All Hands meetings for all employees to attend, ask questions, and share ideas. The reason for this delayed response to your posting is that it was included and shared in presentations to everyone in every Resolvit city. It highlighted that we all need to do everything we can across the country, in all cities, and with every client to make sure that our coworkers have additional projects available to them. The good news is that several new processes and procedures are being put in place to help us improve in this area. We are implementing new communication channels for our employees, starting 30, 60, and 90 days out from a project’s scheduled end date. An automated redeployment tool for sales and our Business Service Managers (BSMs) is being developed now and will be rolled out very soon. We’ve adjusted our internal processes to make it a dedicated person’s job to redeploy our employees, including modifying their compensation to reflect this added responsibility. And to make sure that no one misses an opportunity within the company, when an employee’s project is scheduled to end, we will broadcast that employee’s availability, skills, and experience across all of our employees. Since you left us with a mostly positive experience, hopefully you will consider us again as an employer. We would appreciate the chance to include you as we make these changes, and for you to help us enhance them even more with your perspective. Thank you again for helping our company grow stronger and be more effective.
