    Pros

During Halloween that year, they gave out free tickets to the themepark which was really nice of them. They had a canteen which provided free lunches because the office was so far inside on the island of Sentosa.

    Cons

The office was inside sentosa and the shuttle only came every 10mins and everyone had to be in the office at the same time.

    Advice to Management

More buses at peak period please!

I have been working at Resorts World Sentosa (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free Food. Ground staff are very helpful with one another (even across BU)
various event to train you up to solve problems

    Cons

Staff benefit cut, Inhouse canteen food is crap, with lots of rules about taking away (dabao) (eg. dry noodle cannot takeway??)

everything is about cost cutting without thinking of operation

different BU arrowing each other to make their own BU seem better without really contributing (aim other to drop ranking while maintaining your ranking )
Management no clear direction, dropping bombs everywhere without consultation. does not respect ground staff and understand how things work, just want thing to go a certain way

everything is about cutting cost but expect 100% service, efficiency (suppose to be 4 man job become 2man job but still expect efficiency)

    Advice to Management

change your management, understand staff is your best assets, understand operation and be on the ground before you start to implement changes
consult your ground people before making decision as they have the experience
stop your inter BU politic and fight and focus on helping each other to bring up the BU and company

    Pros

Discounted tickets and complimentary team previews. Great colleagues and young environment

    Cons

Management does not have a proper direction, too many changes that does not bring the company forward. Discouraging and unhealthy management team. Practice biasness. Rather hire inexperienced people in than promote potential individuals. Treats team members in 2nd class citizens

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and they will take care of your company

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Resorts World Sentosa full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the best team members to work with

    Cons

    inexperience upper management
have directors and assistant directors that are not directly related to the field of the department
upper management/HR limit the number of people to get promotion per year.

    Advice to Management

Do not just think about greens. Work towards having team members with a better work life balance. Working 6 days a week and horrendously long hours (think 9am till 2am) is not healthy in the long run and it is affecting the team morale. Promote people when they have done their due, do not limit the number of people getting promotion. Many team members have lost their motivation knowing the number of years they have to put in to get the recognition.
