I have been working at Resource Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The check? Kind of.

    Cons

Like the summary says, if you want a raise don't work here. The Director doesn't appreciate you as an employee. If you ask for a raise after working so hard please plan on management ignoring you. There is such a high turnover because people aren't treated fairly. Its all politics here. You help earn the company thousands of dollars and you get nothing and in the end management doesn't want to see you succeed. RCA tries so hard to paint this perfect picture of how great they are when in fact, just about 75% of all the employees dislike management and feel under appreciated.

I have been working at Resource Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay for no work. Can do whatever I want. No supervision. Buddies with management makes it easy to do very little. Bonuses. No education needed to get the job done.

    Cons

Too much gossip. No medical benefits. No good 401K. Too highschoolish. This company takes advantage of all the patients. Management looks up their own personal friends in the hospital systems (MH) and violates HIPPA like it's never going out of style.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and start following the law. It's only a matter of time before you become a liability and someone blows the whistle.

I worked at Resource Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary for an entry level job.

    Cons

Terrible management and favoritism runs rampant. The job dealt directly with people in need, and the worst part of the job was the real lack of care by co- workers. Laziness and incorrect workflows frequently led to patients not qualifying for benefits, which was really sad as it could have been avoided. One manager who had been at the company for ten years would frequently discuss intimate details of her personal dating life, which was distracting and unprofessional. Also, being a contractor in the hospital set us up a second class workers and we were treated poorly by the hospital staff- even our "office" was sad, as it literally was a closet with 4x6 foot dimensions that two people were supposed to squeeze into along with multiple filing cabinets.

    Advice to Management

Don't keep "dead weight" managers around just because- corporate should also visit the individual locations more frequently.

    Pros

I made a couple of good friends working here. The pay is better than most.

    Cons

Very heavy workload and no appreciation or understanding at all from upper management. The company has a severe lack of direction.

    Advice to Management

I personally met all of the management team and worked closely with them for almost five years at the corporate office of Resource Corporation of America. The Representatives that you will be working for only care about themselves and not their "assistants". They do not appreciate their employees or clients at all. If you are looking for a good job where you want to help people and feel appreciated when you leave for the day...take my advice and KEEP ON LOOKING!!!!!

I worked at Resource Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Initially starts off being a great job. Christmas bonus is probably the best part of the job.

    Cons

Uses you and tosses you aside. Puts things in your file that you never know about. Accuse you things and not allow you defend yourself. Management does not support you. Corporate doesn't support you. They promote those who are brown nosers.

    Advice to Management

Better options for raises for middle management. Better support for middle management. Nothing should be added to anyone's file that they do not know about. Every employee should have the opportunity to defend themselves.Stop using people up and throwing them away and ruining their lives.

I have been working at Resource Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat competitive pay. Fast paced and exciting. Flexible when you need time off.

    Cons

Management is only fair if you act in a "sorority" type fashion. Management likes to gossip about all employees even if they are "friends". Benefits are terrible. Medical hardly covers anything and the 401k is a complete joke.

    Advice to Management

Learn ethics. Just because everyone that is management is related to one another does not mean you can treat patients and their families like they do. Sweeping them and their files under the table because its just too much work is ridiculous. If only the hospital knew of your horrible standard for work ethics.

I worked at Resource Corporation full-time

    Pros

A full-time job with benefits. There are not a lot of reasons to recommend this employer except it is a temporary paycheck while you find something else.

    Cons

Poor Organizational management. Very poor workplace morale in the workforce. The new-hire training process was very disorganized. They make employees work overtime for a flat "bonus" instead of time and a half as the law dictates. All these plus much more, make for a high turnover and low employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Improve your workplace practices. Implement a consistent training process. Allow two-way communication (in other words actually LISTEN to your employees concerns) Make the employees feel that they are your MOST important assets and not the other way around.
