I have been working at Resource Energy

    Pros

Great place to make your mark. Strong product set, terrific working environment. Smart team of young people who are energized to grow the company.

    Cons

I did not find this place sooner.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing to enable the company to continue to grow.

I worked at Resource Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's easy to get a job offer because of turnover

    Cons

Too many members of the management team are mean and condescending and their constant negativity ruins the office. employees are treated with suspicion. that lack of trust means severe micromanagement. analysts turn over every 1-1.5 years so they're looking for another job by the 6-8 month mark. That means morale is a joke and employees are all either figuring out that they regret taking the job or actively job hunting.

    Advice to Management

    Treat people with respect.

I worked at Resource Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

RES is a good company for those who have just graduated college. You can learn soft skills as in email writing, working on a team, talking on the phone professionally, etc. There is a generally good camaraderie among analyst (only) as they only want what's best for one another.

    Cons

There is a clear divide among upper management and analysts. Management berates lower position analysts and does not encourage or support them. Analysts start to think so little of themselves because they are constantly getting put down. The tone in the office is mute. It is constantly silent and there is minimal chatter. If one does speak he/ she is stared at like he/she is doing something unthinkable. There is little...

    Advice to Management

Support those who work under you. The success of the team is a direct reflection upon management. Know their interest and their goals and work with them to achieve it. Treat analysts like adults and learn to respect them as they respect you.

I worked at Resource Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great for salary workers in having a work from home day to look for new employement.

    Cons

Immature managers that need to learn how to work well with others!

    Advice to Management

Take some classes and learn how to speak to your staff in a meaningful way that improves performance and not tear down members of your staff for little things.

I worked at Resource Energy full-time

    Pros

The salary is pretty good and you can work from home twice a month.

    Cons

The culture is toxic and you are entirely overworked. I would never recommend that anyone works here. All of the work in manual input into excel and very boring. There is no career growth here. They will promise a lot in interviews but none of those things come true. When you come for an interview please notice how quite the office is; it is always like this. People are not happy and it shows.

    Advice to Management

Please develop your employees and taking some management training courses.

I worked at Resource Energy full-time

    Pros

This is not a terrible first job for someone fresh out of college and it teaches you basic skills of working in an office environment. There are a lot of young people and this is their first job. The CEO, VP, and CFO are all three incredibly intelligent and busy sazzy men. They would have a lot to offer if they were able to be in the office more. They have a great positive attitudes that seem to rub off on everyone...

    Cons

First, I want to say I think those positive reviews are not legitimate reviews from real employees. I have a feeling they were written by a recruiter that RES works with. The company is terribly disorganized and you will often end up doing double work because of poor planning by management and terrible communication. Training is nonexistent which is disappointing because there is a lot of information that needs to...

    Advice to Management

Get organized and start being consistent. There is far too much choas and stress because of the inconsistencies. Also, treat your employees like adults and allow them some more freedom like the ability to work from home every so often. RES is losing talent because senior management does not allow for employees to voice frustrations. Lastly, work on improving company culture because right now there is none.

    Pros

Young environment of people and that is pretty much all i can say is nice about this place. And snacks. Not sure how the other reviews can be so positive. Maybe they are fake.

    Cons

Chaotic, unorganized, decisions do not have proper follow through. Titles are given in a popularity contest manner. Promoted employees leave anyway. Un-managed work load. Constant "all hands on deck" situations, which are passed as pitfalls of a start-up/growing company, however in this case it is poor management. Old equipment that is not suitable for the work performed and constantly crashes. People work with broken...

I have been working at Resource Energy

    Pros

The employees are nice and easy to get along with. The company is growing quickly and I am excited to see it's future. Because RES is a smaller company, accomplishments (and failures) are more noticeable.

    Cons

I haven't encountered any significant problems that weren't resolved appropriately. While the company grows there are slight headaches but nothing that won't be remedied with time.
