I have been working at Resources For Human Development full-time

    Pros

Depends on the location and who is running it. Some directors are really good, others not so much. Flexible scheduling. Company gives you 4% of your salary to help pay for benefits. Opportunities to learn new skills and transfer within the organization.

    Cons

High turnover in all position levels and within all programs. Again, it depends on the location and who is running it. Some locations have horror stories because they're not well run, and at others the people are really happy because the location is better run. The benefit plan is restrictive with high co-pays. The pay is low, even for nonprofit, and there are no raises. The company itself has communication and organizational problems. The company is very disorganized, and with Central Office being in Philadelphia, they are out of touch with what is going on at program level. Slow to make decisions as well. Computer hardware is slow and out of date.

    Advice to Management

You need to pay better attention to what's going on at the program level. Don't let your "values" restrict you from making decisions that can improve a particular program, or improve all your programs. And please, if someone calls Central Office, answer the phone!

    Pros

They're closing down that's the best thing that could've ever happened to this piece of crap start up company and the piece of crap director that runs it

    Cons

This company has bedbugs and cockroaches and 90% of their houses and or mold they don't train any of their house managers the director gives everyone a promotion who sleeps with her I'm so happy they're finally closing this crappy company down because they neglect every single one of their clients it's a good thing the state of Nebraska finally recognize

    Advice to Management

    Don't reopen your company
