I worked at Resources For Human Development full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job provided a great opportunity out of college to develop as a professional.

    Cons

    Limited upward mobility for employees.

    Advice to Management

Created tiers for employees so they feel like they can build towards something, and aren't stuck in an entry level role.

    Pros

Loved the clients very laid back, good overtime. Really ran the show ourselves at the houses

    Cons

Mangment is very CLICKY they dont give alot of opp. To move foward unless your in "there circle" they will talk about you all day in the office" then smile in your face." Very unprofesstional ex.- directer very rud and socialy awkward. They will throw you undrr a bus in a heartbeat and more about the money there making

    Advice to Management

New mandgment. More professtional. And give people a fair shot not based on if you like them or not. It should be about how they are with the clients. Complete idiotic how they run things.

    Pros

Most coworkers are nice and down to earth. Minimal micromanagement with knowledgeable supervisors.

    Cons

Morale is down due to a recent restructure. People that stayed are forced to take on more responsibilities that are outside of their abilities.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the direct staff that deal with clients day in and out. Have divisional management actually provide performance evaluations.

    Pros

I love working with the people we serve!

    Cons

Disparity between Central Office employee PTO plans and the Programs' PTO plans.
The Programs receive much support from Central Office, despite large portions of the Promgrams' revenue going to Central Office.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to Programs and DSPs. They are bringing in the revenue!

    Pros

They offer great benefits and you don't have to work there forever to receive them. Relaxed office atmosphere is great as well.

    Cons

The office has a very politicized climate, which can be good or bad depending on your views. Upper management seemed to be unaware of how some of their managers operate.

    Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to your managers and how they interact with other employees. With the values there you would think they would want managers who empower employees, lead by example and bring people together rather then actively working towards turning people against each other.
