I have been working at Restaurant.com full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing sales professionals in the business. I have the flexibility to work out in the field and home a majority of the time with maybe 20% of the time at corporate. My commissions are fantastic, my check has always hit on time, and I truly believe in the products we offer.

    Cons

There have been some growing pains over the years but the future outlook is nothing short of positive!

    Advice to Management

Management has always done a pretty good job of keeping employees in the loop on company direction. Everyone has room to improve but every manager that I've reported to directly over the past few years has been great.

    I worked at Restaurant.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very Loose work environment, casual office dress code. Snack nation on Wednesdays. Free coffee machine. My manager of the partner success team was amazing.

    Cons

Management does not communicate well with each other or employees. No clear goals. Website hasn't worked correctly for restaurant partners for 3 years. CEO has stepped Down as well as CFO. No clear future for company.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better with employees. Don't allow IT issues with website to lag around for 3 years. Partners cancel due to these issues that make the company $15,000 plus a year. They still do nothin about it.

    I worked at Restaurant.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a semi laid back environment with decent healthcare. The sale itself is moderately simple as you're selling to independent restaurant owners, with a need to promote their businesses without spending a lot of money. There's a good chance to be promoted if you work hard.

    Cons

The pay and quota change on a whim with no real explanation. Senior management decides each month what the new standards will be based on the control of the CEO, who has sole power. The pay will plateau at a year and bonuses are purposefully impossible to achieve. I was their with 80 plus reps while only 3-4 achieved the quarterly bonus. Also the restaurants on the site rarely like the product and cancellations are rampant.

    Advice to Management

Don't oversell certificates. Work with restaurants to fit their needs as the product is portrayed to the restaurant owners. Treat employees as if they have a chance for a longer career. Turnover is ridiculous.

    Pros

Great opportunity for those who have a good sales pitch.

    Cons

Difficult if you don't like selling people on what they don't want. Retention is expected, staying above quota difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep changes at a minimum, for both partners and for account managers.

    - No opportunity for growth
    - Product is not reliable

Sell the company. It's been on the selling block on and off for years. Pull the trigger. It needs a MAJOR overhaul, and rebrand.
