    Pros

    The pay and benefits are great. There are a lot of smart people who work really hard. The company does a lot of fun things in the office, its pretty laid back, and offers a great work/life balance with some work-from-home days mixed in, but you do need to work hard to stick around long-term.

    Cons

    The owner needs to trust his management team and let them make decisions. From afar, he seems to rule with an iron fist.

    Advice to Management

    Keep trying to get through to the owner. This is a great product that could be even better.

    Pros

    There are a lot of smart people that work there. Much of which were down to earth. The work/life balance was great.

    Cons

    When the new ceo took over there was a lot less innovating ideas to continue the business growth.
    A lot of good people got scared away from the layoffs that went on.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to whats going on. Seems like upper management is disconnected from what is going on in the company.

    I worked at Restaurant.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Fun co-workers who truly know how to find a good work/life balance.
    -Great managers who coach you and let you know what your doing great at and what you can improve on.
    -Opportunities for advancement if you stay there at least 2 years and make a big impact.
    -Seems like their is catered food once or twice a month and then other times the marketing team sets up potluck days where everyone bring in something related to the type of food
    -You'll get exposure to a lot of different parts of marketing if you ask. For example, I was interested in Account Management and had the opportunity to bring in some new products and work with clients.
    -The Specials by Restaurant.com are doing really well and will likely become the staple of the company sooner than later.

    Cons

    -The owner has been trying to sell the business for over 2 years and within that time over 30 marketing employees have resigned.
    -There are a lot of smart employees and VP's who have a lot of ideas for success, but are limited on starting new projects due to budget constraints out of their control.
    -Sometime the culture seems a little too relaxed, especially for a company who needs to start improving immediately.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your employees engaged and motivate them to innovate their jobs.
    Keep doing what you are doing, the company wouldn't still be around if it wasn't for your dedication and hard work.

    Pros

    Middle Management really cares about the sales team and will do whatever it takes to help the team achieve their goals. The Team is like a family and gets along really well.

    Cons

    Short Lunches
    Upper Management is full of crap
    They love salesforce and it sucks
    Micromanaging at times

    CRM is not good also micromanaging is not needed we are adults

    great direct supervisors and great co-workers. loved the environment. All management had a complete open door policy.

    Cons

    for CS, we were the most scrutinize department. pay could've been better. little to none room for promotion.

    Pros

    Great leadership from the management. They were always good at helping me refine my sales and customer service skills. Others that I worked with were very friendly and fun.

    Cons

    The pay was not great, but I heard that it has gotten better. I had to be available on the weekends, but I can see how that would be good for some people.

    Advice to Management

    CS leads should keep doing what they're doing.

    - Departments carry their own weight, hardworking people
    - Company is rebuilding and restructuring with new and purposeful employees/roles after a pretty big layoff last year

    Cons

    - Job stability, not sure what the future of the company looks like
    - CEO not very business-savvy, makes decisions that many would disagree with
    - Upper/Senior management don't show much support or leadership to their departments
    - No 401K match
    - Office, bathrooms, and kitchen are outdated, falling apart and dirty

    Listen, trust, and give guidance and leadership to your employees

    Pros

    Overall a great place to work because of the staff. Extremely helpful boss and co-workers. Everyone does their best to welcome you to the company. As far as I could tell, everyone works hard too.

    Cons

    Not accessible by public transportation. While I was there, the company was in the process of being sold, so the future was in question.
