I worked at Retail Assistance part-time

    Pros

You have flexibility when you can go into the stores, to a certain degree.

    Cons

The pay is really bad. If they say you make $12/hour, you are only making $10/hour. The other $2 is considered a "reimbursement". This means you are not collect social security on it. If you apply for a loan, you don't make $12, you make $10. AND, since they call it a "reimbursement" you can't claim any expenses on your taxes. They also don't pay you for every hour work. They put such high expectations on only a 45 minute service. When you don't get it all done, you get in trouble and told you will be put on probation. So, to keep your job, you need to work longer for free. If they don't like your work, they will send you back and only pay you minimum wage. They don't give increases. I asked for an increase after 4 years of working there. I was given $0.25 after a long battle. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone for this position.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and dignity. This is only merchandising. It's not brain surgery!

    Pros

They are a family run company that respects the fact that most of their employees have families that come first. They are very generous with reporting time and reimbursements. Lots of work if you have decent territory.

    Cons

Sometimes trying to schedule projects within the required time frame can be tricky. No benefits.

    "Excellent company to work for!"

    Pros

Flexible, professional and organized employer. Account Managers are always supportive and patient. Despite time differences they make themselves available and work in partnership with us in the field. RAC management is appreciative of our efforts and recognizes the need for work-life balance. Great to be able to have control over your own schedule - projects and hours presented at beginning of month to help with planning.

    Cons

Do not provide pay for mileage or travel so when projects are smaller and further distance it is not worthwhile to take on that work. No annual review or pay raises on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

You're great - appreciate your support.
