    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great co-workers. My manager was great, (but heard others not so great).
Salary was fair to the market.
    Benefits were good.

    Cons

Aside from my manager, the upper management wasn't the greatest.

  2. "Bad managers and bad proccesses"

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Great variety of technology. Good amount of freedom. Potential for travel. Some great co-workers.

    Cons

Underpays. Poor work/life balance. Everybody is stressed. Unrealistic deadlines. Releases get pushed out the door with poor quality control. Lots of firefighting. Managers and others in positions of power micromanage, are arrogant, and treat those under them poorly. No learning from mistakes and improvement of processes.

    Advice to Management

Don't just give clients everything they want. Set realistic release schedules and deadlines. Take feedback from employees.

I have been working at Retail Decisions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Complete autonomy, flexible hours, WFH, unlimited coffee and cream.

    Cons

Definitely need more hands to help with misc tasks, short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Pay and bonus are below average for the hours and overtime we put into.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great people who work for the company, some very good managers (personally and skillwise), interesting products and services, good variety of technologies, get to see many aspects of the business.

    Cons

Pay is not always competitive; bonus and raise scheme seems haphazard and is not documented; many staff believe that the CEO is out of touch with the business and has no real appreciation for how it runs from day to day

    Advice to Management

You should regularly evaluate your employee's salaries in regards to general market conditions; You need to hire more people - not enough resources to get the job done; There needs to be a clear vision that is passed down to the employees.

    Pros

Although ReD was a public company and then owned by Private Equity it acted in many ways like a start-up. There was opportunity for those that were eager to advance. New market entry, acquisition and product enhancements were always a given for the business plan in any year.

    Cons

    Sometimes priorities changed too quickly

    Advice to Management

    Keep engaging with staff.

    Pros

Small company can be a pro for opportunities, willing to pay for the right people, some decent folks remain there.

    Cons

Ultimately owned by the UK, dealing with time difference can be frustrating at times for some. I personally never had an issue.

    Advice to Management

The only concern would be level of turn over at Retail Decisions in the Sales and sales Management space here.
