    Pros

You get a free gym membership

    Cons

This is club specific but the owners of the club I worked for were absolutely terrible. Put nothing into the club, blamed falling numbers on staff for not pushing products, were never around, vastly under paid, and terrible towards staff. It is a great company and other retros that I have been to are great but the one I worked for was absolutely terrible.

    Advice to Management

Sell the club to someone who actually wants it.

I have been working at Retro Fitness full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This amazing company gave me the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop as a woman in a traditional male industry. I started as a Group Fitness Instructor and became a GM. The owners are just amazing!!!

    Cons

Miss teaching group x classes at times :) but I am able to serve a larger group of members now.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you love!!

I worked at Retro Fitness part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun, helps you to be out going. Learn multiple things.

    Cons

Manager is completely selfish. Staff doesn't matter to him. People don't follow rules and don't listen to management. Manager is the first one to do what he tells staff not to do. Treats his members and Staff terribly and doesn't like to be told when he is completely in the wrong. Never wants to cancel people's memberships and tells everybody in the staff how he manipulates his boss.

    Advice to Management

It might be time to look for a new manager who has both the business and the employee's best interest in mind. Corporate should step in at some point to check up on who is working and what it's being done in the facility.

I worked at Retro Fitness full-time

    Pros

    Free weights
Water fountain is there but warm

    Cons

Getting a job here is like putting your poop back in your butt. Seems they hire 95% females and treat the males disrespectfully. Retrofitness is only good for the equipment. Customer service is crap orientated very focused on making you uncomfortable and less on sales and .

    Advice to Management

    Work on getting them jolly
