I worked at Revel Entertainment full-time

    Pros

The team from top to bottom was exceptional. Everyone had so much pride for where they worked. Management was never afraid to get down in the trenches with line level employees. Everyone wanted to see the property succeed.

    Cons

The property opened wrong. Tried to cater to high end out of towners and completely left out the local, year round clientele. Once we lost their support, we never got it back.

    Advice to Management

To whoever ends up reopening the property; know your market and make them feel welcome. If you have the local support, you won't fail.

I worked at Revel Entertainment (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was decent. But only if you denies the benefits for the stipen of 250 dollars. I received worked hard for the money.

    Cons

Management was really rough to deal with. No one had a clue what they were doing. It was really hectic.

    Advice to Management

People have personal lives outside of work. We have children and families that depend on us. Our job isn't our life. It supports our life.

    Pros

Great staff very friendly employees. Great benefits package good salary. Fun culture. Enjoyed interaction with management open door policy. Very professional middle management team.

    Cons

Bad grand opening timing. Miss guided marketing strategy for the products that the gaming industry offered. Entered a soft gaming market with a delusional executive team trying desperately to fit a circle into a square peg.

    Advice to Management

If it was possible to wait and think through your game plan and approach it with a casino gaming executives and staff that understood the dynamics of this complex facility.

I worked at Revel Entertainment (More than a year)

    Pros

Awesome atmosphere. It's cool to work with celebrities. The music they play is top of the field with the worlds best performers.

    Cons

Angry and drunk customers were probably the worst people to deal with, and it happened often, but it was an expected problem with the job.

    Advice to Management

There was a bit of favoritism, and perhaps they were a little too strict at times, but overall they performed well.

I worked at Revel Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pros

Revel spare no expense on having a well defined work station with numerous leadership. At the time, I was in an hourly position, but I benefit from experiencing all the leadership styles.

    Cons

They failed to recognize that a resort alone in Atlantic City wouldn't caught it. The casino had to be , in my opinion, the strongest focus of the marketing team, yet they realized that too late.

    Advice to Management

perhaps a better suited plan that evolves around the casino may be necessary once/if they reopen.
