I have been working at Revelex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you have strong work ethics, strong knowledge of what you do, high level of confidence, work well within a group/team environment, then you will be a HUGE success here at Revelex.

    Cons

Revelex doesn't match the 401K Plan.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what the staff is telling you, take what they say to heart, listen more, and take note to your surroundings, don't let the staff take advantage of any situation, lay the law down, and keep things moving on a CONSISTENT level - don't make rules unless you plan to stick by them - rules should apply to everyone, not just a select few

I worked at Revelex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None that I can think of . Extremely unethical business practices. They should just close down. Bunch of crooks out there.

    Cons

Every single thing about this company is shady. From how they attract clients to how they hire and fire employees.

    Pros

Zero micro management therefore self-motivation is required if you want to keep moving forward in the company.

If you can bypass the communication issue, it's a great place to work and grow.

    Great co-workers.

    Cons

Communication is an issue, management is aware and working on it.

    Advice to Management

Growth opportunities for your current employees are as important as acquiring new hires. Keep paying attention to their work as a team and individuals and take any chance to keep them motivated.

    Pros

Great environment to learn and practice new technologies, with a co-workers that are energetic and know the product. Working in an enterprise tool and with big clients.

    Cons

Supporting legacy code that has little documentation (but slowly moving away from it). Training could improve for other areas of the company.

    Advice to Management

Optimization should be part of a project timeline. Get a better understanding of each department responsibilities. Do your best to keep the good apples.

I worked at Revelex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a good place for beginners, they give opportunity to junior developers and you have change to learn.

    Cons

Old Fashion company, they watch you without you noticing, are strict with time. They do not like taking risk in the use of new technologies which makes you lose motivation.

I worked at Revelex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Revelex has a great team full of smart people who work hard. They traditionally gave developers with no experience a chance to get their start.

    Cons

Management is poor. They drive with the whip instead of leading with the carrot. There are lots of secrets. They watch their employee's comings and goings without letting them know. There is hardly any flexibility with regards to work schedules.

    Advice to Management

Allow your team to become more self sufficient. Be more flexible on hours. Make people want to be at work.

I worked at Revelex (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fair work-life balance, allows for self-motivation, co-workers do fair to support you and your work, a whole industry to learn, fair pay in consideration to industry, allows for self-initiated ideas, fair communication, little bit old-school work environment, open-door management, good work conditions, "take-charge" personality is fairly well appreciated, good growth pattern and able to move around departments to meet aptitude. Fairly well organized, points of contact are well defined. "Get it done" attitude, very little politics to get things completed. Flexible, to a degree, with time management. If you love the industry (both IT and Travel), developing the system is fun and satisfying. Challenging work.

    Cons

Can get a bit messy when the number of projects exceed the populous available for delivery. Many customers need the certain (custom) technology to be delivered quickly and often times rvlx unable to meet these deliveries in a timely fashion with ample testing. Things have changed from my time there, so this section is based on fairly antiquated processes. Can get pulled in a few directions with very little time to focus on a single set of things to do. This requires a bit of juggling which can affect critical projects. Not enough CEO involvement.

    Advice to Management

None. Except, more CEO involvement and more empowering of company vision. "To develop and maintain innovative travel technology solutions, in order to provide exceptional value and content to our customers".
