Consultants of Fishbowl, I'm 31 and have ~$2m. No kids, student loans, etc... I'm also getting CTL'd. If you were in my position, would you scramble to get a new position or retire early?

A Must Read For New SDR's

May 24, 2022 - Sales Development Representative in Lexington, MA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

    - If you're new to the SDR world, this company is a great place to start, as you will be introduced to the foundation of most organizations' SDR/BDR methodology. (The foundation is Cold Calling; you will be introduced to their formula/script that translates appropriately with other companies.) - Opportunity to diversify your SDR portfolio as Reveneer has many companies/projects across various industries. - Relaxed culture - Higher education isn't necessary (this is somewhat common among the industry now as companies are taking more of a competency-based approach to hiring) - Hybrid work model (about 3 days in the office)

    Cons

    - Their company culture is somewhat "bro" driven - There isn't much opportunity to progress beyond SDR level roles - Most of the companies associated with Reveneer are start-ups and don't hold much weight when interviewing elsewhere. - Pay is below average for a typical SDR role (Average SDR base pay in the area is $52,590) - Their PTO model is accrued which is a bit shotty. Industry-standard as of 2022 is unlimited PTO. - Somewhat activity-focused rather than result-driven (expectation varies from an organization so I won't comment much on this). As long as you're surpassing your quota the leads and managers won't comment much on activity but it is something to be mindful of if you decide to move forward with Reveneer. My Advice to aspiring SDRs Utilize this as an opportunity to learn some of the tools that are common among sales organizations. Crush your quota for six months, then start interviewing with larger, more established companies with a Series C funding at a minimum. Rough Breakout among different SDR level's here - SDR 1 - $40,000 SDR 2 - $45,000 SDR 3 - $50,000 SDR 4 - $55,000 The breakouts include an estimated raise given every six months from my understanding which is roughly $2,500. I didn't include the increase in commission for meetings delivered, meeting opportunity, and deal closed as it varies among companies associated with Reveneer.

Best Company to Start or Grow Your Sales Career

Mar 2, 2022 - Inside Sales Representative in Lexington, MA

    Pros

Reveneer is easily the best place to grow or start your sales career. The training program is built strictly for an outbound sales approach. Learning how to do outbound effectively is an essential part of growing your sales career and our training staff are super knowledgeable and very helpful. You can go up to anybody in the company and ask for help whether it is a first day BDR up to the CEO. We have an awesome work environment with a wide open floor plan, standing desks, two monitors, headsets, etc. It really creates a high-energy environment. The management is amazing too. They are very knowledgeable in a variety of different industries. There are many Pros that I have missed. I love coming to work everyday and couldn't imagine working anywhere else.

    Cons

There are no Cons - Great place to work!

Good place to be, but not without its issues

May 16, 2022 - Sales Development Representative (SDR)
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Flexibility, positive atmosphere, support from management

    Cons

Pay is not competitive and definitely on the lower end. Starts at 40k and bumps 5k every bi-yearly review. Commission ranges depending on what project you're on, can be a pro/con. Some projects are much more successful than others

I guess it all depends: 1.) How much do you care? 2.) How aware are you? 3.) Is this just a stepping stone?

Mar 26, 2022 - Business Development Representative (BDR) in Boston, MA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

1.) Snacks 2.) Some cool and fun staff 3.) They have outings 4.) The CEO has an anti-bully/harassment policy. He fired one of his executives because of it.

    Cons

1.) Poor pay = start at $40 to $45k base salary - other companies are going between $55,000 to $75,000 (base salary) for a BDR level 1 role. 2.) Commission pay changed, where they pay you less than previously. 3.) Depending on the project/team, you could find yourself with a micromanaging, aggravated, and no empathy boss or you can have a nice, laid back, and understanding boss. That, paired with the customer you work for can or cannot make it a great time to work.
