I worked at Revlon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good operation for the Jacksonville area, most people are friendly and the plant and associated processes are decent working condition.

    Cons

Very high turnover rate for associates, plant runs with up to 50% temp work force.
Work instructions and setup sheet rarely used.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on improving work force rather than relying on temps, create a team culture where improvements are made and listen to the people.... rather than listening to yourselves

I have been working at Revlon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Anyone can do the job for the money if they have half a brain, but I think that's an issue the management has.
I will say they just hired a new manager still waiting to see if he's going to be the same as the rest....

    Cons

Outside of the new one, Management is horrible. Supervisors don't even supervise they play games sitting in the offices all day or leave for hours to chill at their homes, guessing that's what supervisors are paid for. Management don't give a flying F about their employees or their family's, hence working this Christmas night and most other holidays. Do you want to spend time with your wife, kids, family, or friends? Well forget about it, even if there is no work to do and they have everyone standing around you will be working the weekends, why you may ask.... well their response is because we can make you, but you can guarantee they'll be at home with theirs. Quality of product...... well I can tell you my house will never have a Revlon product used on our bodies only use we have is for the occasional target practice to watch the bottles explode.

    Advice to Management

Start weeding out supervisors and managers and become more of a family environment, maybe then people would be proud to say they work for you.

    Pros

Really enjoyed working in a support role for the executive team. Great exposure to M&A, very intelligent and (mostly) respectful colleagues.

    Cons

A few rotten apples but did not spoil the bunch

I worked at Revlon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The traffic going North bound into Oxford is minimal. The benefits are average for the area.
The vacation time is above average for manufacturing facility.

    Cons

Materials Management has become a joke over the past 2 years. It used to be a good area to work but then:

New management successfully forced out ALL of the good, experienced, educated, procurement employees because new management is so easily threatened that they don’t understand nor want to hear ANY good sound procurement strategies from their employees. Employees were forced out by ANY and I mean ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

For the most part, the workforce has been reduced to young, uneducated, puppets which was the primary goal of the new management.

On average there is a manager for every 3 people which would be tolerable if they were “working” managers but instead their only role is to micro-manage.

Long term employees were demoted to the same level as folks in their 20’s with or without degrees and little to no experience.

Cubes were replaced with cattle stalls so that employees can be watched. Employees were told it was to promote teamwork and improve customer service levels however it just promoted a social, disruptive environment.

    CONCLUSION:

If you’re young, have no experience, no opinions, enjoy being micro-managed, being treated like a child, and sitting 6” from your co-workers then Revlon Oxford is the place for you!!

WARNING: HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!

    Advice to Management

Advice to Global Supply Chain: plant an employee in the Oxford location to report back the working conditions and intolerable treatment of employees and the results.

I have been working at Revlon full-time

    Pros

Very nice people and nice perks/office activities

    Cons

Poor communication, HR not very good, no one receives paid overtime when people are staying very late. A new law has been active since 2016 which protects NY State employees and states that employees should receive paid overtime which Revlon does not follow

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees
