    Oh where to begin. Management spends all their time in planning meetings but has no clue how to actually even run a line or what it truly entails. They have stopped hiring supervisors from within and only want people from the outside. They have alienated staff that has been there for 10,15, 20+ years and actually know how to run the place; they are leaving like rats off a sinking ship. Which is what Revlon is!! A sinking ship! If that facility is there in 2 years from now I will be shocked! I have been there for a little over a year and the ignorance I have encountered from management is unbelievable!! They don't care about employees at all. They are trying to go to 12 hour work days to eliminate overtime. If management could get their heads out of their hind parts overtime would not be needed in the first place. If you work here may God have mercy on your soul!

    Advice to Management

    Get the full SAP module for the production floor, without it, SAP is going to fail miserably and you will have a bunch of employees standing around waiting on components and it will cost you so much more. Promote from within, there are people already there that can do the job with minimal training and it will save you money.

    Pros

    It will add a known brand to your CV.
    They pay above market, that's the only way they try to retain people.
    Depending on the level of role you are in you will be able to have lots of visibility, this is thanks that it is not very structured and process oriented company, so to get things done you have to talk to many people.
    If you come from a big company with best practices, you will easily add value and shine.
    If you want to resign, there is a high chance you will receive a counter offer to stay

    Cons

    Revlon acquired Colomer Group in 2014, a Catalan company. This is still the culture you will find, a mindset of an old local company now with the Revlon name still with no systems, no processes, and no people focus.
    They hire talented people with great background and knowledge, but then don't let them change things. You are not well seen if you break the status quo.
    No people focus or people care, even half of the new HR team left after a year (this is the clear sign that something is not working). There are lots of hall way talks regarding how the HR leaders mistreat their people. So imagen what can the rest can expect. No one really trusts them.
    Company culture is very old style, you are expected to work extra hours. Many Senior Leaders have been there most of their career from when it was still Colomer Group, therefor they don't know anything different or better. Some VPs/Directors scream in the office to their teams and others including HR leaders. Very unprofessional work environment. Most of the new hires want to leave and regret joining. No real career development opportunities.

    Advice to Management

    Change your leaders that come from Colomer Group. They are still in the past, not only on processes and systems, but in their people management skills.

    Treat others with respect . You can be nice and still get someone to do what you want it is all in how you ask and present yourself.

    Advice to Management

    My experience of Revlon started off positively with a well organised induction and really positive Sales Training, unfortunately this impression did not last.

    I have nothing positive to say about the way the management are running this company in the UK and if there aren't some serious question marks being raised by the CEO then I am at a total loss. Their egocentric, shallow, fear led management is the biggest cause of staff turnover in the company. That combined with the hiring of lazy, self serving Regional Managers and weak education and marketing teams is creating a miserable and confused working environment for the sales team.

    The Regional Managers talk about members of their teams behind their backs to the other Account Managers. They manage through fear rather than by rewarding and supporting their team and if they sense any retaliation they will do whatever they can to manage that person out.

    Revlon Professional UK are clearly wanting to grow the brand and yet they have let almost 20 people leave in 18 months. One Senior Manager said that if someone has decided to leave then they won't make any attempt to keep them. I find that a shocking attitude from a company trying to grow and again I think it should raise big questions over the running of the UK that they would prefer to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds re-recruiting, inducting, training etc. rather than listening to the concerns of their team, addressing them and supporting them where they need it. Surely it would be more cost effective to retain staff and provide support where it is needed and nurture a strong, lasting, happy, unified team?!

    I know the reason that the majority of these people have left is due to frustration at the attitude and performance of senior management. The sales teams are treated like children on a good day and servants the rest of the time, with condescending and patronising comments coming from the highest level. It seems that they are more interested in achieving some small sense of celebrity for themselves than actually doing their job and leading the UK sales team by example.

    The sales team is demoralised and beaten and there is no motivation for them to want to achieve anything.

    My advice would be to listen to the sales team, listen to the people servicing the customers, listen to the people who have to suffer under these self centred, self serving, indulgent, dictators and find out what is really happening in the UK.

    The sad thing is that the company has the potential to be amazing but it will never achieve this with the existing management.

    It would be great if we could have a little more consistency in the amount of work we receive.

    Great benefits. Lower level employees are awesome to work with.

    Cons

    Management - top down push for processes that do not fulfill the needs of the business, harsh and sometimes demeaning to employees. High stress. No work life balance - you are expected to show up at 7/8am work until 6/7pm and then work more once you get home.

    Advice to Management

    Learn from your employees that do that work every day. Treat your employees with respect and show them gratitude. Don't throw your employees under the bus for your mistakes.

    My advice to management would be to get new Management. The regional managers in place at Revlon Professional are poor. They have zero management skills, talk about team members to other team members in a derogatory manner.
    They manage their team using 'fear tactics' and make it very clear if you miss a month target you are being watched and no ones job is secure. The staff turnover is extremely high. If you want to feel under valued, over worked and bullied...join this company. A high % of the sales team are miserable,demotivated and looking for new jobs, higher management are aware and haven't questioned the team as to why. Serious problems at this place.

    Advice to Management

    My advice to management would be to get new Management. ASK THE TEAMS what is happening, ask about the regional managers management style ASK why your top performers have gone quiet, left or are leaving. It's not rocket science.

    Summer hours and decent pay

    This place is incredibly toxic. It's run by a bunch of old women who have been there for 40 years. Upper management has no idea how to motivate a team, but are rather focused on what attire is being worn and how long you are going out for lunch. They do not care about the work that gets put in, but rather the appearance of work that gets put in. They do not like it if you get up from your desk and talk about anything non work related. It's as if you are always being watched. HR lady thinks she runs Revlon and is extremely rude and biased. She is only nice to upper management. No wonder the turnover is high. They might pay a decent salary but it's not worth it because there is no environment for growth and you are treated like crap!!

    Advice to Management

    Change your HR, MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEES HAPPY SO THEY STAY. Revlon is getting terrible press and prices are going up. ACCEPT CHANGE... ACCEPT NEW PEOPLE. THE CULTURE NEEDE A DRASTIC IMPROVEMENT.
