    Cons

    - Under qualified people in high position, that have little basic knowledge of area they are placed in
    - Every function operates as their own island no cohesion at all

    Advice to Management

Employ people who actually know what they are talking about and people who know how to speak to people.

I worked at Revlon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Attractive Pay
    Heritage Beauty Company
    Exposure to Fast Pace Environment
    Exposure to High Sku Ct.
    Vacation Package
    Free Revlon Products

    Cons

Long Hours 70+/wk, High-Stress, Little Reward
Lack of Motivation and Empowerment from Mgmt.
Lack of Resources, Processes, Consistent Direction
Lacks the Promotion of Creative Thought and Forward Thinking
    High Employee Turnover
    No Community Involvement

Company did not acknowledge the hard work their employees put in because leadership was not engaged. Majority of leadership was preoccupied putting out daily fire drills driven from the company feeding off of short-term plans and contradicting directions. The constant changes and lack of processes and resources made for a tough environment to prioritize and manage time.

    Advice to Management

Revlon must listen, learn and develop their employees to be thoughtful leaders in order to retain talented professionals.

I have been working at Revlon full-time

    Pros

There isn't much to say good about the company

    Cons

No work instructions, std op procedure, no way to fully execute successful training. The insurance isn't great, they offered no relocation service for employee that asked about finding something a bit closer. The managers have no discipline over workers and the line personal basically do what they want. Too many safety issues but when brought to attention I felt like I was not suppose to say anything because I'm new. This is a GMP facility that really does not train the employees on what that mean.

    Advice to Management

Update technology and the environment is not so friendly on production floor, if you want the talent you have to be more competitive and attract them to want to stay. Offer relocation of the employees don't know you have it.

    Pros

Upper management seems to rotate every two years, providing plenty of room for opportunity to progress for the good performers.

    Cons

Executive Management has different views on how to improve the business, which is fine, it happens in most companies. But, here the executive team will do everything they can to avoid being in the same room as the others. They make the middle management fight their battles which creates more conflict in the company and does not provide anyone with any clear direction.

I worked at Revlon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well known, strong name in beauty industry, nice office views. Office is fairly new in FiDi section. Occasionally get some free product.

    Cons

Constant change in leadership and direction, so much to the point where they don't know what is up or down. Let's throw it at the wall and hopefully sticks approach. Last CEO destroyed the place, very low morale and unclear direction. Toxic work environment. VERY high turnover. Too many of the good ones are leaving at a fast rate.Reward for doing a great job..? More work with sometimes impossible project lists and work hours. Most folks are there until 8pm. Promote from within instead of hiring from the outside, recognize, acknowledge, and place existing employees in higher roles. Some Sr folks are questionable at best in their positions, it's embarrassing when the junior team members know more about the business than their team lead. HR is on another planet, disconnected from reality and works solely for upper mgmt.

    Advice to Management

Stop losing good people, do something about retaining strong performers. Revamp HR dept.
