I worked at Reynolds and Reynolds

    Pros

Good benefits for your first job and the ‘raises’ will keep you interested for a while. Beautiful campus and you get to work with some great people. The cafeteria is pretty outstanding.

    Cons

The environment is very reminiscent of high school. The constant drama is exhausting and it’s disheartening when it’s almost encouraged by supervisors. There’s not much space for upward growth - that’s part of the reason they give out raises so often. Don’t do any research on what your salary should be while you’re there; it’ll just make you sad when you realize how undervalued you are.

I worked at Reynolds and Reynolds full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are great people & they offer benefits.

    Cons

This Company has zero concern for the customer or employees. Run, don't walk, in the opposite direction of this Company unless it's your first job out of school & you have few options available. The "Leadership" is clueless & incompetent about the actual Automotive Industry. Management consists of 'Yes men' that have never ran a Dealership, sold a car, or turned a wrench...their only roll is to make sure... you 'Roll In' & keep them off their bosses radar. NO decision is ever made to benefit the customer, & in two years & hundreds of Dealerships I only had a handful that didn't openly despise Reynolds & Reynolds. In that two years I had three "Company" pay cuts, three "Directors", & multiple sets of contradictory directions on how to sell something that no one is selling! I also watched dozens of great employees flee this sinking ship in search of actual opportunity. If you've ever been in the Car business... RUN in the opposite direction! Their culture is toxic & can only be tolerated by someone who's never known how a great Company operates or handles employees & clients. If you're reading the other reviews remember... their usually scripted & written by R&R. And make sure you understand all aspects of the job, ask about ROLL, why current employees are fleeing, & how many months is your pay plan good for.

    Pros

Good Training, Great people and culture. You get out what you put into it. Lots of company leagues for all things. good benefits.

    Cons

Pay is on the low side for what you are doing. There needs to be some sort of mediator between NPD(New Product Design) and the programmers and they need to be skilled enough to understand both sides.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of communicator 2005 and replace it with something like Slack or Skype Pro. As mentioned above there needs to be a mediator between the Design team and the programmers.

I have been working at Reynolds and Reynolds full-time

    Pros

Great atmosphere, great people, great product, great training. If you are considering entering corporate sales I doubt you'll find a company willing to invest as much money and interest into your training as Reynold's.

    Cons

Unfortunately Reynold's is rather intrusive in terms of drug testing for tobacco and thorough background checks. If you don't use tobacco and you have a clean record this is an incredible place to start a successful career.
