I worked at Richard Allen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Full commission but there is an option for base pay. But what they don’t tell you is that you have to make at 3 sales in order to get the base pay. And sell are usual worth more then the base pay itself. Therefore you eventually would change commission only. If you’re good at sales this for you. You get to be alone most of the day and not over supervised

    Cons

They don’t explain the job a lot in the interview. Yes you can car hope with other people because it’s a B2B but you’ll have to wait until someone picks you up from you territory.

    Advice to Management

Please make sure you explain the job and salary a bit better so people know what they are getting themselves into. I asked a lot of questions and got basic answered in my interview and it ended up messing my financial situation even worse. I planned for something else and in the end I got really screwed over and had to find another job.

I have been working at Richard Allen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Richard Allen made me a better person, personally and professionally. Some key aspect I learned from RA team were, time management, leadership, how to go after your goals aggressively, talent scouting to name a few.

    Cons

The downsides working at Richard Allen are that the hours are long. But again, they are also teaching us how to be an entrepreneur, so I guess it works out.

    Advice to Management

Advice to management would be please do more fun road trips :)

I worked at Richard Allen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly Co-Workers
    Office nights were fun

    Cons

    Horrible pay
    Misleading pay plan
    Long hours
Boss was very nosey (tried to make it as a group of friends rather than a job, very insensitive to personal life and always got into your business when needing to take a personal day)
    Didn’t reimburse for gas/food

    Advice to Management

Make the pay plan a little clearer
Honestly, incorporate phones into the office and have your account execs conduct cold calls. Some workers are way better on the phone than door to door. Some people much rather hit the phones all day than knock on doors and solicit on businesses all day.

Thankful for the experience but it wasn’t for me. Love sales just rather be in an office. Would be willing to rejoin the company if these changes were made.

I have been working at Richard Allen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been with the company just under a year and I really enjoy the atmosphere but the room to grow as well! I saw a lot of misleading reviews here and just wanted to clarify for anyone interested in a future position at the company. We do business acquisitions for our client's dealing in technology and telecom products and are working strictly within the business division. This job does not involve any door-to-door selling. It involves face-to-face meetings which I've learned is valuable in pursuing a career in business. Also, I noticed the "commission only" review which is not accurate. They give you options to choose from on day one that include commission but other options are provided as well. The company has a GREAT environment and a nice work/ life balance. They help their staff to develop professionalism, networking and management skills. Upward mobility to grow into the management team is not only offered but attainable. They provide every employee with the opportunity to learn from industry top performers and focus on staff development across the country.

    Cons

If you are not career oriented or willing to work hard to achieve your goals then this is probably not the best fit for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep having that open door policy for coaching and development.
