    Toxic

May 26, 2021 - Customer Service Representative in Springfield, OR

    Pros

The job is easy & easy customer service work experience if you are wanting some experience somewhere.

    Cons

The pay is minimal and the atmosphere is toxic. Managers belittle you and always jump to conclusions. If owner walks by while you are on your phone you will be glared at and lectured by your manager--even if you are responding to a text from your kids or babysitter. Cowokers will always throw you under the bus if it means they'll look better or to keep themselves out of trouble. If the company is running behind instead of hiring more help they will ask you to do major overtime, and they will require it.

    Horrible Workplace

    Pros

The pros would be the actual work you do. Processing orders is simple and straight forward so you will be able to learn that easily enough without any help from management.

    Cons

Management, coworkers, toxic atmosphere. Upper management has steadily gotten worse the longer I have worked here. HR only cares about keeping the company from not getting sued. Coworkers will throw you under the bus to keep themselves from being looked down on. Management will treat you like you don't matter. They have made myself and my coworkers cry on multiple occasions because they are blatantly rude and like to use fear tactic in order to get you to do your job faster because to them you are just a number.

    TRASH JOB

    Pros

Decent benefits, nothing else to be honest

    Cons

Let me start off by saying that this company does not value their employees. This company brings in MILLIONS of dollars a year, yet pays production $11/hr, not mention that 99% of the workers are POC! The management is poor because they all kiss upto the owner, which is annoying because supervisors recognize flaws/problems within the company, yet are scared to make a formal complaint in fear of being fired. Furthermore, they have out paper thin masks for their employees, which ARE NOT going to protect us against COVID-19. If they were actually concerned, they might have considered handing out masks with FILTERS. The entire warehouse is a damn Petri dish full of dust and god knows what else. They rarely give out raises and offer little to no opportunity to advance in the company. You can get in trouble over ANY little thing. You best be on your best behavior or not say anything because you can get in trouble for it. Working for this company is stressful and not worth it unless you’re placed in a higher position than production or warehouse.

Lots of potential, but lots of problems.

    Pros

Decent benefits, cheap hats for sale, laid back work environment.

    Cons

Low pay, customer services is about $12/hr while warehouse is around $10/hr, upper management makes far more and its evident in how they treat others. Upper management doesn't really care for employees, and often asked them to work overtime to fulfill their sales orders so they don't look bad to the owner. Yet, even if the employees go out of their way to fix/resolve the problems (that they likely had nothing to do with causing), there is seldom a "thank you" given. The owner is way too hands on and micro-manages, even out in the warehouse. Management is male dominated and clique orientated and if you don't kiss up you wont see raises even if your work is top notch. I also find it odd how the owner talks about how much he cares for his employees, yet all the production workers are latino and paid very little while the old white guys make a comfortable enough living to drive luxury cars. This company makes upwards of $20 Million a year, yet the average employee is paid around 13/hr and raises are seldom given. Lastly, there is very little room for advancement due to the "manager" positions being set in stone, and they don't want your pay to be too close to theirs.

    Pros

The job itself is good. Laid back. But shouldn't be as laid back as it is.

    Cons

The pay is absolute trash. The owner claims to care for his employees but never does anything about it. When they give raises, which is rarely ever (even if you ask your boss) they're only 25 -50 cents. Which literally helps nobody when. If you get a 25 cent raise, you're only earning $2 extra a day. That's not enough. He brags about how much money he makes and how much his employees made for him and he doesn't reward anybody.
