I have been working at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to make six figures if willing to work 80 hours plus per week.

    Cons

Working every weekend is not for people with young children.

I worked at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free coffee
    occasional free food
    nice cars

    Cons

Company will promise you the "moon an stars" when you get hired and lead you to believe that you will make good money working 60 hours a week there as a salesman. The only problem is they are liars and do not pay your guaranteed $2500/month salary and do not care about their employees at all. Its all about management driving 75,000 Silverados and Tahoes while the sales people scrape by and do all the work. Don't just take my word for it. The employment turnover rate is insane. Of the 7 new employees hired this February (including myself) all have quit. That does not include the 5 other employees that have quit who were not from the new hire group. DO NOT work here. the managers are con artists who will BS you about fixing your paycheck for weeks and will do nothing to help you out financially. They just expect you to keep selling cars and not compensate you. Once everyone has enough and quits they just hire a new group and repeat the process

    Advice to Management

    Stop being lying scumbags.

I have been working at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet full-time

    Pros

Employee discounts on any work done on your automobile.

    Cons

The medial benefits are a joke, you can't take any time off or get paid for holidays (5) until after one year of employment. And even though you get a discount on any work done on your automobile, employees are pushed so far back that usually you have to wait 24 hours for ANY work to be done. An oil change takes 8 hours.

    Advice to Management

Offer medical, vision, and dental insurance. Give paid benefits after 3- 6 months not 12. Hire someone to take care of employee needs.

I have been working at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free insurance, clean facilities, discounts on vehicle purchases and service

    Cons

Long hours, promised to have one weekend off per month but not happening, certain managers will barely speak to you, poor pay scale per unit sold, favortism, and disorganization

    Advice to Management

Distribute internet leads evenly by taking turns instead of giving them to favorites, stop the cursing and certain jokes that are unappropriate in the workplace. Certain Managers just need to be professional.

    Pros

Very flexible work schedule for people who have other ventures going on (i.e. school or a part time job).

    Cons

Gets kind of tedious after doing the same thing over and over, but you have the freedom to get up and take mini breaks if you need it. Also, you work for a lot different stores, which is good for your end of month bonus but, you get paid minimum wage which can be a killer if your bonus isn't good.

    Advice to Management

Honestly, I really don't have any advice for management. This is one of my better jobs I've ever had and the manager ROCKS!

I worked at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to make a good living by working hard and helping clients by matching them with the right vehicles. A huge inventory to select from and over 8000 pre owned vehicles.

    Cons

Need to be flexible as you could be stuck in a deal way after your shift is over, It is your choice to saty back or you have an option to split your deal with someone else willing to work to finish your deal.

    Advice to Management

More Training to new sales force

    Pros

    Fast pace keeps you busy

    Cons

Pace is too fast for employee new to the business or without proper training.

    Advice to Management

Allow more time for new to the business trainees to get acclimated. This will insure a higher retention rate and fewer turnovers in employment.
