    I worked at Ricky's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You barely do anything. Working at Ricky's is basically like hanging out. This may be a Pro for some, but its a Con for those of us who like to keep busy and don't want to go to work to stand around and just chat with coworkers.

    Cons

BAD communication between managers and employees. Managers don't know how to lead and are more focused on being everyone's friend. Usually at retail locations, once you come in for your shift you are briefed on the day and given a task to do. Not at Ricky's, managers don't give any tasks and your bored until a customer walks in and needs some help.
Managers also sneak away to use their phones, as if they are still in high school.

The store is very slow and the employees are half- assed (including the managers). I was looked at strangely/suspiciously because I would try to find something to do during the extremely slow times instead of being like all the other coworkers who would just stand around and chat. Management was not used to having hard workers and it showed.

-Breaks are 30 minutes for all shifts 7 hours or more.

-pay was $9 an hour for seasonal employees. There's no direct deposit so you have to pick up your check every two weeks.

Honestly one of my worst job experiences. Left after 2 weeks. The management was also very petty and unprofessional when it came to my departure. I told them when it would be last week and the next day after telling them, I couldn't make it to my shift (more important priority came up) and was told that I don't need to come in for the rest of the week.

Don't apply unless you like standing around doing nothing for 8 hours and want a super easy job.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be professional and be actual managers.

    Pros

One of the most exciting companies in the world to work for. It is truly a proving ground for sales associates all the way up to the executive level.

    Cons

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in New York, NY

    Pros

    Great discount
    Very negotiable with schedule
The products in the store are good and you will learn greatly about new products as well as training

    Cons

    Very immature workers
They move you around from store to store
The dress code is so trash though. But the frI ends hips you make at rickys isn't really friendship so don't go there trying to make friends

    Advice to Management

I have no advice to management. Management is pretty laid back. But when they get on you about certain stuff, it's serious business. They penalize you for the littlest things and you will get extremely fustrated.
