I worked at Ricoh Americas Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Sales Managers, depth of products, team environment

    Cons

Upper managements spreadsheet management, zero consistency, unfair business practices, high costs of employee benefits (not much of a benefit when you pay $900 for medical for a family of 3), truly the worst Fortune 500 I have ever worked for.

    Advice to Management

Constantly moving accounts around hurts not only the reps, but your customers. Ultimately Ricoh continues to lose market share because you manage by spreadsheets. Customers WANT consistency. You want to stop the bleeding? Slow down, take a few deep breaths and stop being ruled by numbers on a spreadsheet. Trust the people you have put in place to manage their accounts and stop trying to micro manage every little detail. GOOD reps don't have time to respond to your demand for the newest spreadsheet of info. This is valuable time you are taking away from reps to do tasks that actually make everyone money. Data in, data out, stop managing by data, and manage actual people.
