I have been working at Ricoh full-time

    Pros

Great employees. I've met some of the best people here. A very diverse workforce. The company goes out of its way to keep employee morale up. They are constantly giving back to the community with fundraising. Casual dress code. Jeans everyday.

    Cons

Even though the company provides training (3 weeks) it does not cover half of the things you need to be successful here. So if you are new there is a ton of things you don't know but once you're out on the floor you're expected to know it. It's a high stress environment.

Even though there are procedures in place no one really follows them. Your leads and managers are not on the same page. You ask the same question to each and get 2 different answers. Which can leave you chasing your tail trying to get the issue fixed. You will get throw under the bus so use email to back you up.
You are overloaded with accounts which means you cannot devote the time you need to those accounts. This loses the company money.

The pay is decent but the benefit costs are insane. Most of my pay is ate up with medical benefits alone. With an international company with 10,000+ employees I expected better.

    Advice to Management

Better training and a ramp up system for new employees. Cheaper benefits. Allow a better workload so the reps can take care of the customers better.

I have been working at Ricoh full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the pay and commissions potential are significantly higher than other companies, in the same family.

    Cons

Low starting base pay should be increased

    Advice to Management

Continue to grow the lower account bases while increasing the learning potential for new employees. The company is very focused on actually helping customers and not just selling them a box. This company is very cutting edge.

    Pros

    Great environment
    Houston office has free gym
    Good training opportunities
    Good local management team

    Cons

Pay was good for the position, I needed a higher pay rate and there were very few opportunities at the time.

    Advice to Management

Increase the training for junior mangers, and spend more time in the field with the associates.
