I worked at Ricoh USA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent legal document processing services (hard-copy and E-Discovery) to the legal vertical.

    Cons

Chicago management not involved with the sales staff to help mentoring to progress in this vertical. High local management and senior management turn over not conducive to a positive daily working environment. E-Discovery services have a lot of quality competition.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat the employees with respect.

I have been working at Ricoh USA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Great PTO, minimal micro managing, pay for performance incentive plan, vertical movement opportunity up to mid-level management. Awesome promo's and incentives if you are only in SMB Inside Sales (if not you might get a happy hour once every quarter).

    Cons

    - low base salary, complex processes (getting better), divisional silo's, brand marketing, service process and tech support to end users makes customers frustrated.

    Advice to Management

    - get the web of direct/dealer/reseller accounts untangled and organized. Get some marketing and advertisement out to the masses and pay your talent to stay.

I worked at Ricoh USA full-time

    Pros

Ok (not ideal) start for fresh college grads

    Cons

This company is in the wrong decade. -Company has failed to keep up with progressive business models, now they are trying to play catch-up and failing with their New World of Work (which is outdated in itself!) -Bad market reputation with their business and legal services. -Big personalities with very big egos, no collaboration and zero results. -Just hired a marketing person for an entire division- also... failing. -Very disconnected middle management. After almost 2 years of working there, I hadn't even spoken to the director. Needless to say, no direction whatsoever, she failed to even introduce herself or convey objectives!!.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the basics, reshuffle your management/directors, do not try to play catch-up. Speak to the people in the field! Find out what they are doing, listen to their needs... introduce yourself!!

I worked at Ricoh USA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Had a great corporate vision statement and solid principles. The service team was superior. Fantastic benefits and work-life balance. One of the best I've ever worked for. Even without great pay, this made the company a winner for the working man in NC.

    Cons

Too heavy laden with middle-managers. They were paid far too much after coming in from IKON and the company ended up laying off it's entire outside USA sales team

    Advice to Management

    Think twice before merging.

I worked at Ricoh USA full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great Benefits, Good People, Good Products

    Cons

Upper Management has ruined this company

    Advice to Management

You've now completed a significant restructuring, stick with it and rebuild the brand created years ago. Get rid of the stale old Ikon leadership that sunk the ship.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Ricoh USA full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

None at this point. Used to be a good company to work for but mismanagement took over.

    Cons

Severe inhumane downsizing across the board as they just pushed through a 2nd round of layoffs. Sold a great majority of their customers haphazardly without taking into consideration cause and effect to some very large customers. No concern for both the dedicated, hard working employees and customers.

    Advice to Management

This will be a case study for years to come. Shame on you.
