I have been working at Ridge Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

New trucks ALS are all Boxes
    Newer equipment
They work with you on scheduling
Basics and Medics have both been given significant increases with in the last 6 months to make the pay here more competitive.
Everyone complains about management, dispatch & HR, I have not had any trouble with them. I think people exaggerate on these reviews. So many people these days feel entitlement and that the company owes you something when you do your job. Heres some advice to my fellow co-workers, you were hired to work and run calls so stop complaining when you get calls to run.... duh

    Cons

    Time to update BLS units
Follow same expectations at all of the locations

    Advice to Management

Thank you for being so patient and flexible most of these kids don't see what you guys really do For them

I have been working at Ridge Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is not comparable to other privates, very flexible with hours, no vans, equipment is up to date and usually works well, great coworkers.

    Cons

Working in Montgomery is terrible, management will get on you for not doing extra work so you stay at the station. Doing your job description usually isn't enough for them, you always have to go above and beyond.

    Advice to Management

Consistency would be great! Treat everyone the same!

I have been working at Ridge Ambulance full-time

    Pros

Things are great the Old Billing Manager who was out to control and made everyone's life miserable is gone. Billing staff is much happier and it is a pleasure to walk into the office area with no tension. New Billing Manager is great

    Cons

Pay is not over the top but acceptable due to overtime

    Advice to Management

Management could review the pay for employees

I worked at Ridge Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Box Ambulances to work in, field personnel are good to be teamed with.

    Cons

The management is HORRIBLE at Ridge Ambulance! Like others have said, if you are not a kiss up then you are at a higher risk of being fired! The billing person is a real problem issue as well.

    Advice to Management

Sensitivity training to the management at Ridge. Add a few more crews on days as well.

I have been working at Ridge Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice equipment and 24 hour shifts. Overtime is plentiful and pay is average for this area. They offer benefits to full timers.

    Cons

Billing manager is hard to deal with and HR is a nightmare. Very busy and benefits are expensive and you seem to be able to be fired easy if someone doesn't like you

    Advice to Management

Better pay or more crews to lower call volume on crews.

I have been working at Ridge Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great staff and management. Knowledgeable staff and you can still do 24 hour shifts. The equipment is top notch and you don't have stupid vans or crazy colored unprofessional looking ambulances

    Cons
