I worked at RigNet (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    None. Absolutely NONE !!

    Cons

No bonus AGAIN for hardworking staff yet senior managment being rewarded with sign on bonuses before they've even proven themselves. Basically corrupt !

    Advice to Management

Would not waste my time trying .......

I worked at RigNet full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Only good positions are field technicians or managers. Techs make good money with minimal supervision and managers do as they want and have security by keeping lower level employees down.

    Cons

Zero room for growth. Company does not foster any career development at all, nor do they offer additional training for current roles. HR will preach otherwise but they take no action. If you want to work for RigNet, get ready to go nowhere fast. You will hear nothing but excuses from management. Company chooses to invest in everything but their employees.

Company is also bursting at the seams with VP's while they continue to eliminate jobs of those on the front line doing the work.

    Raises - nonexistent
Bonuses - none for most, unless you're a VP or C-level.
    Training - None
Career Growth - none, they will hire outside before promoting.
    401k - company match suspended

    Advice to Management

Take these reviews seriously! I was not fired or laid off and am not bashing the company out of spite, but was just extremely let down by a company I once loved and was lucky enough to find a new opportunity in a new industry.

I would venture to say the majority of your workforce is exploring or looking for a way out. Moral is the lowest I've seen in 6 years; people are miserable and it would be nice if management even pretended to care.

I have been working at RigNet full-time

    Pros

Very few pros, this is not a happy place to work. lots of BS going on and if you don't have a six sigma handbook shoved up your butt, then you wont understand the absolute crap that MGMT deliver.

    Cons

If it were not for the poor market currently in O&G this company would have no employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop making changes to structure. Have at least some form of idea of where the company needs to go to grow. Disseminate this information properly. stop talking and make changes, stick to them once implemented.

    Pros

Some key seasoned employees who still strive to keep RigNet afloat

Expensive Health Insurance. No 401K contribution. No bonuses. No internal processes. Seems like the few core seasoned RigNet employees left are trying to stabilize the sinking ship.

    Advice to Management

Motivate your employees. create a vision. Be what RigNet once was: - Best in Class

I have been working at RigNet full-time

    Pros

Talented, knowledgeable co-workers who don't hesitate to help.
Company-provided laptops allow you to customize your workflow to your needs.

    Cons

No structured work processes, expected to figure it out as you go.
    On boarding training is non-existent
Nearly zero room for advancement within the company.
Company is very segmented, different regions have access to tools others cannot use.

All of these combine to give a lackluster experience that makes the employee feel immensely undervalued.

    Advice to Management

Communication is king - keep employees better informed about upcoming changes to workplace practices. Managers need to spend more time coaching employees which will inspire success and motivation.

There also needs to be some amount of organization. The fact that we are expected to jump through hoops gathering information is not only a time waster - but irritating to no end.

I have been working at RigNet (More than 5 years)

    Pros

New executive team; better HR team; good health insurance

    Cons

RigNet management undermines and sabotages projects; makes covert threats; behaves in a passive-aggressive manner and manipulates those around them; drives productivity and engagement down. No talent left within. Middle management has a winning chance of being able to continue innappropriate behavior forcing employees to quit or get fired. Workload of employees is unbearable. Too many non-working managers; positive reviews about this company are fake.

    Advice to Management

Empower employees and hold managers accountable for innappropriate behavior; empower HR to stop workforce bullying; enforce "anti-discriminatory" training; hire new implementation team for ERP
