I worked at Right Management part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Right Management has experienced a major transition, becoming a member of the Manpower Group reorganizing its mission based on market shifts. This creates a lot of opportunity within the company for movement and added responsibility.

    Cons

The pace of change within Right Management can lead to skittish, cautious outlooks and to lowered attention to strengthening infrastructure and creating a sufficiently stable work environment.

    Advice to Management

Communicate to staff in a more effective way to manage the volume of communication and magnify the truly important information to avoid information overload that weakens commitment.

I have been working at Right Management part-time

    Pros

The work we do with our candidates and clients is very rewarding. We get to help coach people through career transition, many of whom are hurt/angry/sad about their current situations, and turn it into a positive career transition for them. Many of our direct managers and co-workers are great to work with as well.

    Cons

We are underpaid and underappreciated by Manpower leadership. When we were owned by Right Management only, we used to get raises, bonuses and more positive recognition overall. Since Manpower bought the company, they expect us to do more with less resources. We haven't had raises in 6 years and we feel like we are so underappreciated. The feedback they give is all talk and no action. I have never felt so unappreciated in any career. The only reason why I stay is for my candidates. Their gratitude and appreciation is what makes me not want to go elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Stop giving "fluff" talks and show genuine appreciation. Give raises when they are earned/deserved. Offer better benefits for project staff. Pay us our full hourly rate when we travel. Offer us advancement and education. Stop making us feel like we are an unwanted, unloved step child.

I have been working at Right Management full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a new position and the company is very open minded towards flexible development of my role and what this means to the greater whole. The culture is fantastic here and the company is leading the industry with vision, broad insight and integrating adaptability to deal with the constantly evolving new world.

    Cons

Being a global organization with many teams working on a multitude of projects can make communication difficult. It can be hard knowing who to talk to and how to find the right people quickly at early stages.

    Advice to Management

The Manpower brand talks about doubling people's salaries because they believe that people should be paid what they're worth. Those are strong words and can work to the organization's favor... or they could become the harbinger of decay. Lead your people into the new world of work - the Human Age - on more than words. Deliver on the promise and Manpower will change the world.
