    Negative Outlook

I worked at RightNow Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Small company which provided flexibility and opportunities for diversity and travel. The work community was very supportive and friendly and I have carried the personal and professional relationships on to my future employment.

    Cons

Sold to Oracle, thereby losing the flexibility and innovation of a small company. I wound up going to a BPO of RightNow so that I could stay with the product and continue working with great people in an industry I enjoy.

    Advice to Management

I wish that RightNow had not sold to Oracle as I feel the product has lost a lot of the things that made it a world class CRM solution; however, the resources and innovations of a much larger company has it's benefits as well.

    Cons

Responsibilities can get repetitive pretty quickly as lots of testing is needed.

I worked at RightNow Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

RNT was in BZN, which was better than going to CA each week to work. The team was tight and worked well together. The product wasn't perfect but the sales team strong so it was stable and growing.

    Cons

I had the wrong job, which wasn't their fault at all.

    Advice to Management

    Sell to Oracle.

Lost many people since acquisition in 2012 by Oracle.. culture has been diluted significantly... not the same as it was.

    Pros

It had a small company feel with the benefits of being a publicly traded company. The people were amazing and everyone worked and played hard

    Cons

It was purchased by Oracle and the culture of the company changed radically and quickly.

I worked at RightNow Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Small company with international reach
    Still nimble, eager'
    Family feel

    Cons

    Too political
    Too US (specifically Montana/HQ) centered
No benefits coverage for domestic partners

    Advice to Management

Keep your religion out of your business. Pay more attention to departments other than sales and development.
