I worked at Rimini Street full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free food and drinks. Nice offices

    Cons

Senior managers claim to want experienced employees who have a POV and desire to add value. The truth is they decide what to do and questions or input that doesn't conform to their views are not welcome. You are a task-doer. When it comes time to execute, they excel at turning the straightforward into astounding complexity with incessant, overbearing micromanagement and long review cycles. The result: nothing ever gets done. If you are an achiever, if you desire to have an impact, stay away from this company.

    Advice to Management

Trust people and get out of their way. Learn to delegate and stop the micromanagement. You will never scale your company if nearly every decision or deliverable has to be reviewed by the Seth. You are killing passion and breeding a culture of conformists.

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote innovation and empower individuals to grow professionally and personally.

    Pros

    Working remotely, good healthcare program

    Cons

Few career advancement opportunities. Repeated requests are ignored. Extreme micromanagement and everything is scrutinized. Little work/life balance. Senior exec-level micro-management that affects all levels of the departments and team. High resistance to change with a defined lack of scalability. Complete management insanity. Nothing is ever good enough and everyone is a critic. Cut throat and toxic work environment. No reasonable approach to determine viable and applicable solutions to address possible issues into the near future. Emphasis is to be compliant in this militant work environment. Employees are not respected and verbally abused. Morale is very low.

    Advice to Management

Lighten-up and let employees do their job. Need a major culture change - one that empowers employees. Business model does not scale.

I have been working at Rimini Street full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Rimini Street's workforce is largely remote aka work from home. This allows extreme flexibility in most positions. There is a culture of open communication and collaboration. This is one of the most caring work environments in which I have ever worked.

    Cons

Because the workforce is global and remote, there is a feeling of always being "on the clock". Emails come from the highest levels at all hours and all days. A response is required to any email regardless of when it is sent. While not officially required, it is implied and strongly encouraged that email should be answered on weekends, holidays and even vacation.

    Advice to Management

Understand that people need and facilitate real down time where work does not interrupt that time.

If you hire senior level people, let them contribute, don't treat them like drones.

I have been working at Rimini Street (Less than a year)

    Pros

Able to work from home, good salary and benefits. The Executives seem to care more about the employees than the service and admin managers.

    Cons

Service managers are not great. Organizing the engineers by region rather than product line seems to result in poor team work.
