    Pros

Great leadership, smart people, good technology, great town. For the most part all of the employees are nice people to be around.

    Cons

The pace is too frenetic. Due to recent growth, PPC analysts are taking on a lot more clients which means quality of work per client suffers.

    Pros

Looking for a job out of college I wasn't exactly sure what to do, but was so pleased to stumble on RKG. The Paid Search Analyst position didn't require any specific major or knowledge, and hands on training taught me what I needed. It's been a fantastic experience in a wonderful environment.

    Cons

Requires that you be a self-starter. If you want to be bored and unhappy, you will be. If you strive to learn more and do more, you will succeed.

I have been working at Rimm Kaufman Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - The work-life balance is great. Few get in before 8 and most clock out around 5 (with the exception of Q4, when things naturally pick up a little bit)
    - You will pick up a marketable skill set while working in the rapidly growing internet advertising space
    - The people are for the most part all fairly intelligent.
    - Charlottesville residents generally enjoy a small-town pace of living with the amenities of a larger suburban area. RKG's central location on the downtown mall is within a few steps of the center of town where there are a number of decent restaurants.
    - The company culture is definitely a bonus. Teams do get pretty close and the company sponsors a number of outside sports leagues and other activities outside of work throughout the year. They Keep a pretty well stocked snack closet as well

    Cons

    - For the work you do, RKG simply does not pay employees enough to attract great talent.
    - While the work itself can be interesting, the reality is that it will be difficult to really advance your career at RKG (or anywhere in Charlottesville for that matter).
    - I Found Paid Search adverstising to be interesting, and the learning curve was certainly significant. However the day to day nature of the work can be a bit mundane and repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more competitive salaries if you really want to attract top talent.

I have been working at Rimm Kaufman Group full-time

    Pros

    - They care about your as a person, which I didn't realize how important it can be until I left for a bigger corporation that doesn't do nearly as well
    - very smart coworkers and managers who are subject matter expertise
    - Relatively fast promotional path as long as you do a great job, given the company is growing fast
    - Lots of training for new employees, as well as regular based ones for all; You'll be a real expert
    - People are young and energetic
    - Direct client interfacing opportunities

    Cons

    - Pay could be higher to match industry standard
