    Pros

The Dept in which I worked allowed growth opportunities and a fair level of automony.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy to get things done; because of that the ABA is not a nimble organization, not able to quickly meet market demands. This is typical of associations where there is heavy member-involvement.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your people at lower levels about their managers -- Without reprisal. Do you even know how BAD some of them are??

I worked at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great family atmosphere with awesome co-workers. I was a long-term employee and would've stayed much longer had the company lived up to their missions visions and values.

    Cons

Senior Management has no backbone. They definitely do not practice what they preach. If you are looking for an employer who will stand behind their word, keep on looking.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach "Integrity". The lack of support from senior management has left me in awe.... I once thought that Caesars entertainment was one of the best companies to work for.

    Pros

    Great benefits and training program

    Cons

    Ridiculous working hours
    No support from executive level

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting corners to save money. The only reason you are losing revenue is because you refuse to put money back into the hotel.

    Pros

Hmmmm...the clientele was upper class years ago but has since been replaced with gang bangers they do not wish to cater to on their many strip properties

    Cons

Caesars Entertainment purchased The Rio casino and let it get run down, dirty, taken all of their high end resturaunts out and replaced them with with either fast food or left them empty to be used for meetings! They have no entertainment to draw crowds other than carnivals and festivals in back parking lot!

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your front line employees...when employees are treated well, they treat their customers better

I worked at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fun, Friendly, pay is equivalent to others, your on the point system

    Cons

your on the point system, you lose any PTO time after 1 year if you don't use it and 80% lose some time each year. Management will lie to you. I know I was one.

    Advice to Management

If an employee is with you for 18 years, and is never late or calls in, KEEP THEM!! Now I know why employees are not loyal any more, it doesn't pay. I was a supervisor for 18 years and was told one day to go to HR when I got off. My boss told me don't worry your job is secure. I went there and I was told my job is eliminated.

I worked at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Everyone is super friendly and always helpful. All departments work well together. Lots of great restaurants. Lots of happy customers.

    Cons

Vacation time is use it or lose it. No sell back or carry over. Tough to ever take more than a week at a time.

    Advice to Management

Work-life balance is difficult to maintain.

  8. "They only hire part time. Hour twenties. Tips are down to below $100 a day. Very Rare to opportunity for full time."

I have been working at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

3 shirts and aprons supplied. Buffet style employee dining. Paid time of determined by years of employment. Rewards program for star employees. Code green program rewards.

    Cons

Depressing to watch the once flagship of Harrahs properties become the kicked under the rug Caesars property. It's smokey, dirty and dingy. Guests very unhappy with comp program.

    Advice to Management

Main complaints are never addressed. There is a 'if you don't like it leave' attitude from the new management. Pay attention to the latest survey.
