    Pros

Benefits, pay, colleagues, free lunch, snacks, etc.

    Cons

Company is in disarray. Every team, with the exception of the executive team, are stretched thin and quickly burning out. It won't be long before there's a mass exodus of people running to the many other, less stressful and better run, opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Great leaders inspire and galvanise the masses during turbulent times, they don't cause people to divide and disband. Pay attention to what's working and what isn't by looking around and asking your employees, not by looking at an org chart. Don't claim to be client centric and then disband the one true client centric team, as the rumour mill suggests you plan to do. I've recently had an opportunity to get to know them, and they're a great bunch of smart, talented people. You too should understand everyone's role from the perspective of how they help the company on a daily basis. Go over and talk to them, understand them, hear their passion. These are people's lives, which used to count for something in this company. Shame we're all just boxes on an org chart now. I'm challenging you, Mr. Shah, be the great leader you used to be before it's too late to make a difference.

    Pros

    Good pay with good perks!

    Cons

    CEO has lost his mojo!
Seems to be on a hamster's wheel now. Continues to rejig his team every 6 months but with same end result....no delivery of key cloud platform or increase in sales.
The Service, Sales, and Cloud delivery teams are in complete disarray and DMGT will be well served now replacing the CEO for his failed execution.

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like a hamster on a wheel.
DMGT should take the tough call to replace the CEO!

    Pros

Great science, incredibily bight employees who care and a great mission.

    Cons

The focus has become cost driven not growth and innovation. CEO needs to run the company not the CFO. The employees are taking the biggest hit. The CEO let the two executives, GC & HR Execs, who were the biggest employee advocates leave the company.

    Advice to Management

Be clear about strategy. Start caring about the employees and talking to us. We are smarter than you give us credit for. You can't do it without us. Stay focused and don't over commit. Read these reviews..there is a trend.

    Pros

Lots of leisure time flexible hours around traffic hours
Great pay depending on your position

    Cons

High turnover rate, not a place were I would settle and make life decisions like getting a mortgage.
Immaturity. No real solutions for the root cause of the problem that preexisted problem since problems ever began, that's because a particular person cannot fire themself, so fingerpoint.
Not an organization that I can say I can be proud to work at. I'd rather do something more important for society than worry about if i will survive a sinking ship.

    Advice to Management

No advice can be given because ears are not open.

    Pros

A lot of Silicon valley companies that are growing and hiring haven't heard of RMS. Look at the cons section on why this is a pro. As a wise president once said, the sun always rises in the morning. Even if this company is going nowhere with a bunch of incompetent crooks. They did fire a bunch of them but have no path to success.

    Cons

The company's reputation is so poor that many people who have heard of it associate you with being a low performer with bad ethics. So, it is great to interview with rapidly growing companies that haven't heard of this one. The egos of some of the people remind you that they are probably lacking in some other areas. Take a look at some of the people who have spent a lot of their career here in the model development group and you will see why they are there - nobody else would hire them at a comparable position or pay them a market salary.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to offer you more money so that you can squander it. Unfortunately, I am paid too little to be able to do that.

    Pros

    Good pay with free snacks!
No pressure on Cloud Development and Ops teams!

    Cons

The atmosphere is highly vitiated and politically charged -- small pond with big egos!

CEO continues to make blunders every few months by changing the top brass but no changes are felt on the ground

RMS is a modeling company trying to dabble as a services company in cloud and that effort has been a fiasco even after several million dollars of investment. A .NET based cloud investment over 2-3 years costing a few million dollars was scrapped for java. This initiative lasted a few years and now they are back working with .NET

Its a sad and distressing tale of musical chairs where leaders continue to change leading to loss of morale and $$

    Advice to Management

CEO should just concentrate on Modeling and try improving languishing sales.
Stop focusing on Cloud and be transparent with the customers and employees
Remove poor and failed leadership in Cloud Development and Ops and nix this money draining operation

    Pros

If you need training in politics join RMS!
They pay you while learning the art of survival

    Cons

RMS has been meandering aimlessly for the past 4 years without making any dent into its aspirations to transform the insurance risk industry

CEO has made several dumb decisions in scrapping RMS One cloud iteration in favor of new technology proposed by an equally dumber new CTO that they hired from Colorado

The CEO should look himself in the mirror and focus on core modeling capabilities than dabble in Cloud Technology that he does not understand and nor the bevy of high paying developers on the rolls who have been toiling away for more than 3 years with no success

Should look at outsourcing both the development and the Cloud Ops team and focus on modeling

    Advice to Management

Stop throwing good money on dumb decisions!

    Pros

Smart great people to work with. Very dedicated group of modelers who are really carrying the company. Software team is making progress on the new platform. Great product.

    Cons

Three reorg in three years. How do you expect to get traction with all the change. DMGT is sucking their companies dry. CEO may want want to watch out. He's moving his power over to the CFO. He'll be on the list next year when the company changes it's mind again.

    Advice to Management

Check in with the people since we are probably going to have an exodus.

    Pros

Some good ideas, free lunch Wednesdays

    Cons

Lack of consistent direction, no execution, politics, duplicitous management, can't trust what you are being told

    Advice to Management

This is quite possibly the most dysfunctional company in the valley. If you love politics and finger pointing this is your place. RMS has confused innovative disruption with just plain disruption. A lack of consistent direction from executive leadership leads to impetuous decision making and a constant churn at middle management and semiannual re-orgs. The people actually doing the work get an ever convoluted message about what the company is trying to accomplish and have no clear direction what should be done. Turnover in staff seems to be the only uniform product of this process. Being a part of RMS will only lead to frustration. Take your talents elsewhere.

    Pros

Good benefits (high 401K matching), free lunch on Thursdays, free bagels on Wednesdays, very smart and intellectual people in Model Dev team.

    Cons

Very dysfunctional. Way too much politics from executive team to middle management. Senior leadership is not aligned thus there's no direction. Employees are not told the truth of the company's Q1& Q2 profits. No transparency and constant re-orgs.

    Advice to Management

Resonates with the glassdoor review "Beware". This is a sinking ship and it will keep going down unless RMS (one) is successfully launched and executive leadership team is re-aligned on the company's new strategic direction. With changes to the employee equity and benefits plan, the company will foresee the biggest churn and burn in 2017 and 2018. HR needs to stop putting on shows but rather truly listen to what employees have to say to turn this company around.
