Pros
Some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with.
Cons
None that I can think of.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
* CEO is a great person, very approachable and always has a smile on his face. * Some very smart people in engineering. * People are generally passionate about the company and the product.
Cons
* Not a very good engineering culture. Have a mentality of building half backed products and releasing them to production with the expectation to fix them during support, that leads to lots of on-call issue and a very bad work life balance. * No 401K match. * Strike price on options is too high.

Pros
- Strong engineering culture, engineers are siloed off into working only on their own part of the application and get to reach across to other areas often - Great management, probably some of the best I've ever worked for. They care about the fact that they have manager in their title and work to really manage the team but also grow their people - unlimited PTO - can bring in pets - Get to learn a great deal from people who have been working in the industry for a very long time
Cons
- not as young of a startup as others so some of the drive seems to not be there - not enough happy hours - company held events really don't attract many different people, usually always the same people
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
* The people you get to work with might be the top reason to work at RiskIQ. People are very motivated on what they are working on and RiskIQ has tons of people with knowledge, talent and the desire to accomplish big things. * Great culture and work environment. * Introduced to tons of useful technologies, from Docker to SpringBoot to Elasticsearch to AWS to Redis and the list goes on. * Board game nights every other week
Cons
* Lots of legacy systems with little to no documentation so takes a lot of figuring out on your part. * Onboarding process due to the monolithic code base. Could be better refined. Moved towards microservices approach at the end of my time there so that's a start. * Some projects (albeit not often but large projects) are not properly planned and scrapped thus loss of work time on those projects.
