Pros
Had a cool startup culture early on. Great office environment and spread, enjoyable people. This seemed to disappear over time, especially with COVID.
Cons
Wouldn’t invest in professional development for employees. Compensation and benefits were not competitive. Those who left saw insane salary increases in offers to work elsewhere. Leadership made poor decisions purely to increase valuation and ultimately get an acquisition. “Unlimited PTO” policy resulted in a weird optics-guilt for appearing like you were taking more time off than so-and-so therefore it was abused by some who had little supervision and others took practically nothing.

The company culture at RiskIQ is hard to rival. The people are relatively diverse, all very kind, and intelligent.

The salaries at RiskIQ, specifically for entry-level employees could be a lot better.

Pros
Office in downtown San Francisco
Cons
Lack of leadership. Company needs an overhaul at the top and needs to bring in new leadership. There are a few old timers who make this a very toxic environment. They claim to be a world class cyber security company but it is anything but. Lot of politics in management any old timers try and influence every things. I have seen them make some very poor decisions, hence the company is not making any progress.

Pros
* CEO is a great person, very approachable and always has a smile on his face. * Some very smart people in engineering. * People are generally passionate about the company and the product.
Cons
* Not a very good engineering culture. Have a mentality of building half backed products and releasing them to production with the expectation to fix them during support, that leads to lots of on-call issue and a very bad work life balance. * No 401K match. * Strike price on options is too high.
