I have been working at Rite Aid full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Provides constant change, challenging opportunities to use many skills and abilities, opportunity to work and enact with the public, fast paced environment, and flexible schedule.

    Cons

There are very few opportunities to advance in this area, often times a lack of communication from Corporate office, pay is not current with market trends, and the stress you endure is often times more than the pay is worth.

I worked at Rite Aid part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work at Rite Aid are that some of the coworkers and customers are fantastic.

    Cons

Rite Aid is one of the most mismanage companies I've ever experienced. They just can not get their act together - from organizing their stores to hiring and retaining decent employees. Sometimes I wondered whether there was some joke I was unwillingly a part of, the management was so laughably incompetent.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees and then trust the good ones. Pay them enough that they have some incentive to stay. Give them the hours they need and treat them with the courtesy anyone deserves.

    Pros

convenient to where I live - o.k. pay

    Cons

Management flounders 24/7. Employees treated poorly. No open door discussions or brain storming at store level. Store managers working mostly over their head. Common sense NEVER prevails.

    Advice to Management

nothing to say here as it would fall on deaf ears. When RA tanks then corporate will finally get it.
Until then we all just wait for a takeover.
