I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Discount on rooms Get to meet some interesting people

    Cons

Work/life balance long hours expected of supervisors and management Pay Dealing with pretentious/entitled people every day (employees and customers) Management favoritism Lack of upward movement in some positions

    Advice to Management

Stop letting them over work you, if you push back they will have to respond. In an effort to include everyone because they are empowered many managers are letting the mouse run the cat house so to speak. Also don't always side with the guests and take employee complaints of sexual harassment seriously.

I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time for less than a year

    Pros

None whatsoever, as you're treated like a slave on a plantation.

    Cons

Long hours, low pay, poor benefits, overbearing supervisors, nasty snotty guests that treat you like you're their personal slave. And those are just a few of the cons.

    Advice to Management

It would be a waste of time to give them any advice, as you're treated like dirt as an employee and that will never change.
