Working at Riverbed is very educational, because you're always surrounded by smart employees. The products we work on are compelling and it's possible to maintain a good work/life balance.

Cons

Riverbed provides fewer fluff benefits than other bay area tech companies. Compensation is tied to the stock price, which is fairly volatile.

Used to be a nice place to work....but after the reorgs and the company going private, the culture shifted ...

-Make sure you carry your boss's balls/ lick their boots as almost everything in the workplace is decided by the managers -This is due to the almost non existent guidelines or policies available. -Managers are treated like demi Gods and there's no one to police or rectify/correct any bad behaviour or abuse of authority from them. -No one wants to take ownership and accountability of work tasks ( only high visibility tasks to management) and due to the lack of policies there are many grey areas and things get pushed around -No work life balance at all ( esp if you have a manager who works 24/7 and doesn't know how to push back- refer to point above on grey ares and things getting pushed around) -Very political work environment where boot licking is highly encouraged. -Very weak HR dept as well - HR best practises are not followed

Great company to work for. Very good culture and opportunity to learn new things. Decent work life balance and lot of refreshment snacks and food. Good salary and friendly staff.

A company that offers a great Work/Life Balance that is challenging and rewarding at the same time. Riverbed dominates it's market because it is full of smart / funny / energized people delivering a great product people really find value in.

The culture and passion at Riverbed does not compare to anything else I have experienced. The people here truly care about your career growth as well as your ideas to contribute. Riverbed values a work life balance and appreciates each individual. You can definitely feel the energy and excitement as we are making amazing progress in 2016(i.e. launching a new product and acquiring companies).

Cons

It has its days, but none that would cause any negative concern.
