I worked at Road Rebel Global

    Pros

-a few people are genuinely good people

    Cons

-Untrustworthy management. It is very much like being in high school. If you disagree with anything you are a target. -You will be micro managed because there is a manager for every 3-4 employees -high turnover and burnout -unrealistic expectations from management -No work life balance. You are in the office for 9 hours and on call 24/7 -Some clients can be brutal

    Advice to Management

None of the outlines you created for your coordinators to become managers are taken seriously because the ones that were promoted are clear favorites and do not meet those requirements. It is very discouraging to your other employees to see some folks who clearly deserve promotions get passed up year after year. Free food occasionally and a drink on Friday does not compensate for the low pay, unrealistic work load,... and lack of structure.

I worked at Road Rebel Global for more than a year

    Pros

Dogs are great to have around

    Cons

People come and go and don't stay long. They must hold the record for highest employee turnover. Don't let them get away without paying you unemployment as they always fight doing so.

    Advice to Management

The review dated 09 May is a scam. Don't let this company make you believe they are something they are not. That adage of "There is no such thing as a good job in a bad company", applies to Road Rebel and their "management " team.

I worked at Road Rebel Global full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The casual atmosphere is great although some of the ladies have taken that term too far. Yoga pants and cheeky shorts are not casual. It's just inappropriate! The music is great and makes the work day enjoyable. Most of the dogs are adorable (some smell really bad) and it's one of the greatest benefits of working with this company. Lots of goodies delivered by the wonderful vendors so good luck if you're on that... former diet! The concept of this company is much greater than reality of it!

    Cons

This company puts on one heck of an act. They don't value their vendors or the employees! They dress it all up pretty with the fun benefits and you don't realize until it's too late that it's just an ugly pig with lipstick! The management is fake and actually sit in meetings gossiping about the employees. They invent creative ways to get rid of those they don't like. Management spend very little time doing any... actual work because they are so busy going from management meetings, to department meetings, to team leader meetings, to mentor meetings, to department lunches, to book reading meetings, to walking their dogs, to dog committee meetings, to planning beer o clock Friday's, etc... Management walks around with their nose up in the air! The owner is a completely out of touch hippie that no one in the company takes seriously. He's a nice guy but very much in his own little world! The rest of the company can be compared to residents of Stepford!

    Advice to Management

Use your Monday 10am meetings to actually discuss real issues of the company rather than gossip hour to tell juicy stories about your customers, vendors, and employees! As a member of the management team I didn't need to know nor did I care who was losing their house, filing bankruptcy, whose husband never wanted a kid and refuses to babysit, or who went on a speed dating meet and greet! I sat in these meetings... wondering when I could get back to my desk and get some actual work done. No business was ever discussed in any meeting I attended. Focus on the company not the personal lives of your employees. Your website has been down for at least 2 years... Maybe try discussing this in a meeting! You spent a year and countless meeting hours (which lets be honest it was put together in one meeting) putting together a cross training program that once it was rolled out read like a program to encourage employees that management wasn't happy with to transfer out of their departments and set up for failure for the sole purpose of eliminating them. Try to eliminate (not encourage) cliques!

I worked at Road Rebel Global full-time

    Pros

The clients. Possible global opportunities at their Amsterdam office (if it stays open). Entertainment industry. Some of the dogs.

    Cons

Warning: Do not be fooled by the dogs, music, or the alcohol they serve you on Fridays. It sounds cool to work with all of that, and in internment industry, but this place is a sham. The turn over is incredibly high!! Management lives in a vacuum, and you will suffer for it. There is no growth potential. The overseas office is failing and yet they keep saying the 'Hong Kong" office will open but they have been... saying that every year. Just serves as an example of how everything here is a mirage. Very divisive work environment. As an operations person you will end up overworked and burnt out and make very little money. You will never see a raise....they will not even give you a "raise" in title (which costs them nothing!). This job will not advance your career.

I worked at Road Rebel Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Casual work environment, beer o'clock on Fridays, lot's of goodies from vendors (ie. endless supply of cookies and candy).

    Cons

Really loud environment with loud music and dogs barking. This makes it challenging to carry on a phone conversation with a client or potential client with all of the crazy background noise.

I have been working at Road Rebel Global full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pet Friendly, Casual Dress, lots of treats and schwag from visiting vendors. Open office space lay out, very large office, not your typical cubical design. Work hard, play hard.

    Cons

Leadership seems wishy-washy. There is little room for advancement - even after being through rounds of "leadership training" - there aren't just any spots to move into. loud working environment. Cliquish, even in management. There are obvious favorites.

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like this is junior high - yes its a fun working environment, but please try to at least stay professional. Lastly, you have great ideas, grand ideas. Think them through, plan them out and implement some.
