    Pros

Ok pay...lots and lots of overtime. Safety conscious, ok benefits. New Management was easy to communicate to.

I have been working at Road & Rail Services (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are managers who want to help teams succeed, other managers are just there for a paycheck.

    Cons

Lots of discussion about upward mobility, not a lot of development to help you do that.

    Advice to Management

Focus on developing talent, push those that don't care out the door. Dead weight is holding the company back.

I worked at Road & Rail Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people. Upper management is the real deal. They have been there, done that so they aren't out of touch. Managers and supervisors are given tools and freedom to lead. Hourly folks are treated well.

    Cons

None. Good people to work for. You won't get rich here but it's s good place to work and support yourself and family

    Advice to Management

    None.

I worked at Road & Rail Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There really are none, pay is at minimal and the company has some serious upper management issues. General Managers are not very experienced when it comes to operations

    Cons

Company does not treat it's associates well. Low pay, insurance is terrible. Human resource department seems to run the company. Appears there is some favors going on financially

    Advice to Management

    Micromanagers

I worked at Road & Rail Services (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Weekly pay check; good employees.

    Cons

No consistency with management decisions; answers change; too many chiefs on days, need some management on full nights. Management spread way too thin on nights. Tremendous responsibility for supervisors and leads, compensation small. Work hard, earn a little. Little to no benefits.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees, not the bottom line.

    Pros

It is a job. I love what I do.

    Cons

The people are horrid. Not everyone but a lot of them. They love to "get rid" of employees. A total revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Care & Pay better. Give real benefits. Match the 401K.
