I worked at Robert Half as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Convenient correspondence through the internet, was able to negotiate slightly higher wage

    Cons

Very disjointed communication within agency departments and clients. Strategist accountant was condescending and seemed to want to protect the companies. Disregarded personal safety issues on site in.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect and hold your company-clients accountable in providing support and growth.

I worked at Robert Half as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are just starting out, this can fill your resume a little. Sometimes the upper management will take care of you and help you get good assignments.

    Cons

There is a high turnover rate for their agents and some will low-key threaten you if you don't do what they want or ask for schedule changes despite the actual company allowing you. I've had agents go over my head and lie to companies for their mistakes as well (like giving the wrong interview time and then calling the day of to try to make you magically teleport to the right interview time right there).

Also, you won't make any connects working these jobs. Don't believe what they try to sell you.

    Advice to Management

Check your employees. Having them lie to cover up their own mistakes while harming your money makers aka contractors isn't good for your image or for your potential workers. Neither is threatening them with no work too.

I worked at Robert Half full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a work life balance, the department I worked in had great team work.

    Cons

The salary was not very good. We had to fight for a raise.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to move to different departments so can learn more and do not play favorites and pass up good employees for higher positions.

Good communication. The teams are very unified and also good at providing feedback regarding performance in interviews etc.

Temp work does not always lead to permanent work, and it can be a difficult cycle to get out of.

I worked at Robert Half as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a straight forward document review project that took place over 2 months. Robert Half quickly placed me after receiving my resume.

    Cons

I was rehired by the project manager a few weeks later. Robert Half did a terrible job trying to keep me in place at this job site. I ultimately was able to maintain the work because of my own contacts with the private company. I had a so/so experience with them.
