Best Recruitment company to work for, unbeatable culture and people
Apr 8, 2014 - Division Manager in SydneyRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Culture - rewards, excellent banter and atmosphere, given autonomy and responsibility Salary and compensation Open door management and fairly flat structure - everyone is approachable and helpful The tenure of the team - everyone is there because they want to be and is highly motivated in their role, this is infectious
Cons
it's a sales job so there is always going to be the challenge of maintaining work life balance - the team are very social and many get along outside of work which i think balances this.

Great People, Great Company
Dec 1, 2022 - Talent Solutions Manager in Weybridge, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Since joining the business, I have received great training and truly feel part of a team that is continuously improving and has incredible ambitions for the future ahead. The work-life balance is brilliant and you feel very well rewarded for the work you put in.
Cons
This is a role that isn't for the faint hearted, if you are looking for a role where your day is always the same and you never have to face any new challenges, then this may not be the place for you. However, if you have real ambition and want to be part of a great business with great people, then this is the place to be.

Company that teaches and promotes GROWTH!
Apr 12, 2020 - Staffing Manager in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great opportunity to learn everything from Staffing, Customer Service, Recruiting, leadership and many more. Excellent Benefits and Bonus potential Ability to have a work life balance (ability to work from home on occasions if needed) Leadership team that understands 100% what it takes in every role since they grew up in the company - THIS IS REALLY BIG Advancement opportunity
Cons
This is a sales environment which requires exceptional work ethic - you get what you put in to company and business. The first year/year and half can be tough as you're starting to grow your business and learn the industry.

Pros
Great position if you like a change of pace; pay is decent; get to work independently and gain experience in a variety of industries. Paid hourly and rarely have overtime so it’s a wonderful job if work/life balance is important to you.
Cons
Assignments are not always good ones. Upside is that none of them are permanent. It’s also very hard to leave the good assignments.

I love my job here at TCG
Dec 30, 2015 - Recruiting Manager in Minneapolis, MNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Robert Half / The Creative Group gives you the tools, structure, metrics you need to succeed. Highly rewarding and lucrative career if you put in the time and effort to make it work. Recruiting isn't an easy job by any means, and it's up to each person to carve their own path of success. The opportunity to work with the best talent and companies in the Twin Cities is second to none. I can't tell you how rewarding it is to meet / interview candidates and then place them in their dream jobs, or at the very least, give them the stepping stone to get to their dream job. Work / Life balance is not an issue if you know how to use your time wisely. Again, people who work hard and put in the time see the benefits. The internal teams are fun, funny, hard-working and determined to succeed. I've never seen more nerf guns, football, basketball hoops in one office area. It's a blast! Good people stay and the ones that don't want to put in the hard work are given notice ahead of time. It's pretty simple really. As most people know, if someone has a negative experience, whether it's on them or not...they'll most likely write about it. Positive reviews are oftentimes unseen. I find it rather amusing to see past employees of Robert Half / TCG write negative reviews - mostly ones that were asked to leave because they didn't put in the time or effort to make it work. It was on them. Bottom line, Recruiters don't take a cut of people's salary - no recruiting agency's I know do that. If anything, the more you get...the more we get. It's that simple. I have nothing but good things to write about my career here at Robert Half / The Creative Group.
Cons
Nothing that I can think of. If there's anything that does come up, you have management teams that will address the issue

Wonderful company that provides top-notch service to their candidates and clients!
Oct 7, 2019 - Recruiting ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Highly customer service oriented company, helps people from all levels of professional background to find positions to meet their current needs and/or help them grow, gives back and partners with local communities! Partners with Veterans and their families! Awesome company values! Empowers employees to make as much money as they want depending on how hard their willing to work (commission based sales bonuses).
Cons
Internal company culture is very dependant on the leadership in that local market, can be good or very poor. Company values aren't always the number one priority... Often times the focus falls from helping clients and candidates to how much money can 'I' make on this deal... very transactional rather than relational focus. Work/Life balance can be very challenging in the first several years while developing your book of business.

Been good to me and what I needed at the time.
May 29, 2018 - Anonymous Freelancer in Columbus, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I just hit my 2 year anniversary with Robert Half Salaried Professional division. I've done 2 real estate companies, 2 factories, 1 logistics company, 1 law firm, 2 schools, and 2 CPA firms (tax season). I like the exposure. I didn't know what type of company I wanted to work for when I got out of college. This has opened my eyes as to what's available for my education level. Also, if you get a 'horror story' client, you have a set end date on that client. You are not allowed to have overtime because you are too expensive which is awesome for work life balance or having a side job. Because Robert Half is respected and I've been all over the place, I can write my own ticket and I plan to.
Cons
The burn out is high. You never feel like you belong anywhere and most clients exclude you from office happy hours because they don't want to pay for you to go. Also, the second you clean up the client's mess, you're told your engagement is over. 90 % of my work related horror stories come from one client. There's some places that just should not be in business, but since they've hired you- you have to stick it out. There's not much opportunity for advancement. You will have professional/skill advancement, but your title will always be "Robert Half SPS associate" regardless if you are entry level or CFO. Needless to say, I don't plan to stay for my third year anniversary.

Survival of the fittest
Jul 27, 2022 - Talent Manager in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Robert Half has tremendously improved over the years when it comes to employee work life balance. Best part is their robust training program for those without experience. Management is receptive and supportive. Work hard and play hard. There is a fair amount of recognition and positive encouragement for those who put their best foot forward. Lots of growth opportunities and internal transitions if you have the ambition and grit. Many networking opportunities internally and externally. You can make lucrative commission, learn new skills, and develop long lasting relationships with your work family if you apply yourself.
Cons
Survival of the fittest model. High turnover. Job is demanding. Not a whole lot of people make it past 6 months to a year. Benefits are subpar. Difficult to achieve work life balance. There is a cushiony base pay but you have to cover your base prior to making commission. Efficiency can be impacted when internal teams don’t have their act together. At the end of the day it’s a numbers game.

amazing coworkers and working environment. managers and peers have been amazing in training, and overall organizational structure is great. work life balance is excellent as well and there is a strong emphasis on prioritizing mental health.
Cons
project priority can be a bit of a rollercoaster.

Great career path if you work hard, a little misleading regarding commission structure
Nov 11, 2017 - Recruiting ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great company to work for if you work hard. Room for growth and advancement, pretty good culture, management is nice for the most part.
Cons
It will take time to grow your book of business. The base salary is low compared to other agencies. A little bit of micromanagement by leadership. Boards twice a day are a waste of time. A little misleading regarding the commission structure work/life balance is pretty good but expected to be there at 8 AM and usually stay until 5:30. The benefits are reasonable but are not fully paid for like at some other companies.
