    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Robert Morris University - Illinois part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Department had extremely flexible scheduling, they know you are a student and accommodate class/homework/athletics

    Cons

Favoritism is off the charts. If you're in a small department you never get any kind of recognition. Worked in a department for just over 3 years and never met the VP over my department until like 2.5 years in, if not later. Also no ability to move up in the school, and if there is an opportunity it is given to the favorites instead of those who are most knowledgeable/have been there longest.

I have been working at Robert Morris University - Illinois

    Pros

Mentoring students and helping them with their future goals and career path from start to finish. That's really the main pro.

    Cons

Political pettiness, lack of camaraderie and trust, cliques, very poor leadership, callous style of leadership, stuck in the past and not forward thinking. Employees are laid off in an undignified way and existing employees are overworked. There is lack of transparency starting on high and making it's way through the ranks. Managers/administrators/ department chairs are overpaid and arrogant.

I have been working at Robert Morris University - Illinois full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Cool environment, motivated players, great sponsors and setup.

    Cons

Awful administration, school doesn't care about the esports program at all despite boasting starting the first collegiate esports program in the country. Pay is incredibly low for all staff. Staff is expected to work many hours under minimum wage under the stipulation that they are being paid a 'stipdend' not a wage. Cutting scholarships to expand the program across hundreds of students instead of cultivating the top talent possible. Makes it impossible to recruit yet it is necessary for a coach to do so.
