    Low salary; middle management and upper management often hired from within even if they aren't qualified for the position; small size

    Pros

    Excellent community with caring people, wonderful vision, and Christian worldview. Roberts is a wonderful place to work with primarily due to the people.

    Cons

    The compensation can often lag behind the competition, however, the tuition benefits are excellent.

    department budgets are often constrained, but staff work hard to make the money go farther

    Faith-based community and everyone cares about the students they are there to serve, as well as each other.

    Cons

    Private Christian college = not high-paying. But the trade-offs are worth it!

    Surrounded by people of similar faith, caring professors and staff who will take time to work with you and get to know you.

    You get trapped in the "Roberts bubble" and lack the experience that comes with interacting with more diverse people.
