I worked at Robertson's Ready Mix Concrete full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The prose is only when you get to drive a new truck instead of one of the old trucks they're very slow even the new ones are slow not enough horse power or torque.

    Cons

The pay for the mama work that you do 17 an hour plus ot 8 to 16 house they will try to work you. The job it a job I do not know how can somebody be here for years I got in got my 6 months and left Good way to get your experience if you have your class A already The hours is long the management is poor it's a very Racist environment. You work Monday through Saturday 6 days a week you have Sunday's off but Dan sometimes you have to still come in at 1:00 a.m. in the morning. For early poor. I wouldn't Recommend is job to anybody personally wise Only if you're looking to get your 6 months experience 1 year experience and get an a get out The trucks that they have are all automatics but they're very old crapy trucks That only come from different yards.

    Advice to Management

    Not good.

    Pros

Raises every year, too many hours even if you don't want them.

    Cons

Politics in the main office and all the higher ups that run the company.

    Advice to Management

Treat all divisions of the company fairly. Which is currently an issue

I worked at Robertson's Ready Mix Concrete full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot to learn if willing. Good for learning how to operate equipment then get out and find another company to work for before they decide to lay you off.

Good health insurance. $90 a week for entire family.

    Match 8% 401k

    Cons

    12 hour days.
    A lot of favoritism.
Have to kiss a lot of butt if you want to move up.
    High Turnover rate

    Advice to Management

Give the new guys a chance. Everyone started somewhere. If you dont want to teach than pay more than $12 an hour. And no one with good experience wants $14 an hour to start.

I worked at Robertson's Ready Mix Concrete full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of work at Robertson's, if you like driving your good, most of the time dispatch is cool and will set you up for good runs once they know you "clock in" to work. Pay attention to co-workers they will gladly give you pointers on most any situations. Look to make between 47 to 63k on average annually

    Cons

I would have to say long hours, heavy traffic and mandatory Saturdays although you can opt out some but don't get carried away.
